Text to world: This text reminds me of animals being hunted and there species going extinct or almost going extinct and the animal being forced to breed with their kind just so they can kill the child’s parent and wait for the calf to grow up and force it to mate with its own mother.

Text to text: This book reminds me of daybreak because in both story’s they called for action to make you help them to solve the issue in the story and the real world and do something about it in your own time.

Text to self: this text reminds me of  when I made dinosaur habitat at my old school this reminds me of that because dinosaurs are extinct  these animals are nearly  extinct 
And quite close to being extinct only 60 of them are still alive.

TTT - This reminds me of Stand Up Speak Up because they go out and protest about something like climate change or habitat loss. This reminded me of Stand up speak up because both climate change and habitat loss can harm rhinos.

TTW - People are poaching animals just like the rhino.  Sometime they even do it for fun or for animal skin. 

Many people kill animals for their meat and for rhinos they want their horns just for money and this relates to, animal cruelty. Treating animals with disrespect and people just don’t care. And it also relates to animal extinction because if you're killing animals they're going to become extinct and the rhino is an endangered species at this very moment. And the reason for all the killing is a thing called poaching and poaching needs to be stopped.

It is not really a text but I saw this show on tv and they were trying to save rhinoceros from getting poached. First they would need to find a rhino with a horn, then they needed to make it go to sleep. After that they reach a height where the rhino won’t feel any pain when they're cutting the rhino's horn they cut it off. It helps because then poachers will ignore them and because when poachers cut their horns they try to take as much for more money and when they do cut it, it injures the rhino.

When the scientists tried to breed the rhino, it reminded me of when I went to a zoo and I saw that they were trying to help the Tasmanian devil and they would keep it enclosed and they were so shy they wouldn’t come out of their burrows but i still saw one popping its head out. And it made me feel that humans can do something to help endangered species close to extinction, all we need to do is to help them breed and take care of them.

The way they steal horns from the rhino is so sad. Humans don’t even understand the pain rhinos go through. What if rhinos turn on humans and steal there noses. That’s payback.

This reminds me of the book Rhinos I read in grade 1. It was so similar to the article that I just read.

This book is an information report so I actually is happening in the world. But there’s only 80 rhinos left of these types of Rhinos. 

The fact that the book is about extinction and the jungle it reminded me of the book ‘ stand up speaker up,‘because they are both about trees and extinction. This made me realise how many books there are about things humans have done to, not just nature and animals, but to ourselves.

I made a connection to when it said “The closest living relative to the woolly rhinoceros, a notable* species of the last Ice Age, the Sumatran rhino”. It reminded me of the experiment to try bring back the woolly Mammoth, because they tried to get the woolly mammoth’s DNA and put it in the closet relative.

I made a connection to when the book said “woolly rhinoceros aren’t the only things going extinct,” it reminded me of the amount of trees getting cut down, which reminded me of when I planted seeds in my small garden.

Text to self: This article reminds me of a TV show i watched about these rhinos. This show told me about how poachers kill rhinos and take there tusks and sell them. I don’t think this is ok because chopping of an endangered animals tusk is cruel. There aren’t many left. There are laws in place to help save the rhinos, but people still do it. There is not many Sumatran rhinos left.

Text to text: This text reminds me of a persuasive peace he wrote about Sumatran rhinos. Both these texts informed the reader on how horrible it is that  poachers kill the rhinos to take there tusks. They also both talk about the extent of these rhinos being so close to extinct. Both authors want action and for poachers to stop killing these rare animals.

Text to world: This article makes me think of the Sumatran rhinos being killed innocently because they have something valuable that is stuck to them. The Sumatran rhino is at the brink of extinction. These wonderful animals only live in Africa. I think there should be more funds to help these rhinos. But there are other animals that also get killed for there valuable tusks/horns. Something needs to change!

T-T-T: I can’t really relate it to “The Proudest Blue” but I can relate it too anisha’s alphabet. In this text it talks about hunters hunting down an endangered species just for money. In anisha’s alphabet people were hunting her down,as if she was an animal, because there was a war going on between two nations. The difference is in this text the hunters hunt down animals for money while in Anisha’s Alphabet they hunt her down for revenge I guess.

When me and my parents went to the zoo in Tasmania we soon reached the place where they keep the Tasmanian devils, I looked over the fences and I couldn’t see anything. I soon found out they were sleeping but before I discovered they were taking a snooze I thought if they went extinct, If the species was terminated. I was afraid that one day it might actually happen just like for the rhinos. The rhinos are at the tip of extinction and only a few hundreds of people know.

T-T-T: this article reminded  me off the song called “Dream” about endangered animals because it had a rhino and its baby in it and then the rhinos horn got cut off and it was really sad but there were still other animals too like a whale that got shot and two seals who were stabbed. It was a really sad animation/song and I watched it in grade 2.

T-T-W: this article reminded me of endangered rhinos and how they are getting killed and hunted for money. It’s sad because they are getting killed just so people can get money and if they go extinct nobody will care! (except for people like David Attenborough and stuff)

This book reminds me of another book about endangered animals. One of them was about rhinos, and how they are becoming extinct, because of the hunters. They use their horns for medicine, and I feel angry just thinking that hunters are the cause of this animal that has now become endangered.

This book reminds me of when we went to the Melbourne Zoo, and there were rhinos in one of the exhibits. The sentence “So it was cause for celebration when Australia’s newest critically endangered calf made her first public appearance at Dubbo’s Western Plains Zoo in NSW.” Made me think of the zoo even more.

This book reminds me of the problem in the world, of endangered species. It makes me sad, as some of our favourite animals are falling to a crisp. But the sentence “With such small population sizes, we were expecting much higher inbreeding in (surviving) populations of Sumatran rhinoceros. So these findings were good news to us.” Made me think about all the populations anted types of rhinos!.:)

T-T-S- This reminds me of my life because every year when we go to point Lonsdale we go past Werribee Zoo and there are some big pictures with different animals on them like a giraffe 🦒 , a hippo 🦛 and a rhino 🦏 . This is similar to the text because the text was about the Sumatran rhinoceros which is a type of rhino. Unlike my experience the text has real life rhinos and in my experience it was only a picture.  

T-T-T- This reminds me of the book stand up speak up because in that book they were calling for action on climate change. In the Sumatran rhinoceros 🦏 text it was about calling for action to help the Sumatran rhinoceros 🦏 so it wouldn’t go extinct. Both these texts were calling for action but on different things. Unlike stand up speak up the Sumatran rhinoceros text was trying to stop the sumatran rhinoceros from becoming extinct in stand up speak up they were protesting against climate change so that the world 🌎 would be a better place. 

T-T-W- This reminds me that in our world 🌎 lots of animals are becoming endangered and then will possibly go extinct because of us humans. All we need to do is to stop producing so much waste and killing the planet 🌎. In the future heaps of animals including the Sumatran rhinoceros may be extinct all because of us.

This reminded me about how there was a lot of endangered animals and species in the world and how amazing it is to realise that it is possible to have good news of saving them. But sometimes people start the Cause of endangered animals.

This reminded me about the time when i heard a story, and it was about a blue whale that went missing. It was similar because the blue whale and the rhinoceros was both endangered.

this reminded me of the time when i went too a place that I can’t recall but there was a few animals there and some of them were endangered and were rated highly endangered to low. 

This reminds of the time when I went to a Rainforest and saw Rhinos playing. This is similar because This story is about Sumatran Rhinos in forests and I went to see Rhinos in the Rainforest. This Text is different because this story is about SUMATRAN Rhinos while I went to see other types of Rhinos.

I felt sad because Sumatran Rhinos are going extinct.

This reminds me of when read about Indian Rhinoceros. This is Similar because this book is about Sumatran Rhinoceros and the other  book is about Indian Rhinoceros. They are both Rhinos after all. This is different because the book i’m reading is about Sumatran and the Other book is Indian Rhinoceros. 
They are different types of Rhinos. 

This text reminds me of extinct Rhinos. That’s because the book is saying that there is only 80 Sumatran Rhinos left. This is similar because lots of animals are getting endangered for no reason. This is different because those Animals are not Sumatran Rhinos.
