2.  after they gained independence from the British tyrant they didn't want america to be lead by a tyrant so they gave more freedoms to the individuals citizens.
3.  i think we still need this because the government shouldn't be able to control what you say or believe or who you can associate with.

2.  when the colonists fought the french and Indian war the British armed them. however after the war they took the guns back to prevent a revolution. so when the founding fathers wrote the bill of rights they included this to allow them to rise up against the government if it becomes tyrannical.
