The Parque do Sabiá is a tourist place in the city of Uberlandia. Is a forest area with several complexes, such as the zoo, sports courts, children 's area, swimming pools, etc. The park opens at 5 am and closes at 10 pm. The park has as an annex the joao avelange stadium and the sabiazinho sports gym that are used for sports championships. The zoo has more than 300 native plant species and more than 200 species of animals. All animals are kept in appropriate enclosures, giving each species adequate survival conditions. In Sabiá Park is located a large artificial lake, besides several other smaller ones. At the edge of the dam there is a beach, which, on weekends, is overcrowded by children and adults having fun. In the dam we also practice water sports. The park is widely used for hiking, people use the jogging track which has the extension of 5,100 meters for walks throughout the day.
