Aesop was known for his collection of Greek fables Because it is unlikely that early remarks in authors like Herodotus, Aristophanes or Aesop is known for telling fables which is how Aesop was freed.

Aesop was known for his fables that ended with morals. Aesop was a slave to Iadmon of Samos and Aesop must have been freed by Iadmon or Aesop could not have conducted the public defense of a certain Samian demagogue (Encyclopedia of World Biography 2019). Aesop said many quotes and an example of one is “No one believes a liar even when he tells the truth” this could mean if you lie a lot, even when you tell the truth people might not believe you so do not lie a lot or you might lose someones trust (Goodreads 2019).
