Listening to music is therapeutic for me but so is playing. I've learned how to play the guitar, piano, violin, and I've done singing lessons. I know how to read music and I've done many different music lessons in my life. I've learned a lot by myself aswell but I'm not really great at it. I feel like I'm good but I know people my age who pursue this by being part of band and participating in music gigs and I mostly just play in my room for my own self enjoyment. I have been saying since I was little but I rarely do it now because we don't live near the beach anymore. I'm not really great at it because I'm terrible at stirring, I just sit there waiting for my dad to tell me what to do. Whenever my dad I do sail we like to do overnight trips and small local competitions for fun. I knit, crochet, make friendship bracelets, beed bracelets, rings, and etc. My friend and I created a jewelry brand this year where we sells bracelets, rings, necklaces, and other things that we make ourselves. I started ballet when I was 3 at my old school, when I changed school in kindergarten I went to an actual ballet company. Then, when I was 9, I started rhythmic gymnastics where I was a part of a team and we would compete around the continent. When I was eleven I moved to the US and became part of another gymnastics company, however, they didn't compete and I didn't like the teacher so after a year I dropped it. I also dropped ballet because I was already over whelmed with gymnastics. After that, in 7th grade, I found another dance company where I did ballet and Jazz. I didn't like ballet anymore so I dropped it again and started taking hiphop classes instead. A year later I moved bak to Brazil and dropped jazz but kept hiphop classes going. When the pandemic began I dropped all extra curricular's and only started dancing again this summer at a dance camp in NYC. There I did jazz, ballet, and hiphop again. I also tried tap, contemporary, and modern. I hope I start dance lessons again this year so I can continue hiphop, jazz, and contemporary. I even participated in a competition at one point where I placed second. I never really loved it but I did like it. Once I started going to summer camp in middle school, we would have swimming lessons and I would always be placed in the highest level even though I had stopped my lessons. Swimming was always just something I was good at but I don't think I would pursue it just because of the many other things I like to do, it would be too much. I never took it seriously so its an activity I like doing on my free time with my dad. He was committed into teaching it to me when I was little and so I always go with him. I'm definitely not as good at him because he used to compete and many hard tricks such as flipping in the air and landing which I could never do. I wanted to bean astronomer when I was little and I absolutely love the stars. When I was in 6th grade, I became part of an advanced science class and I was able to take the earth Science regents test in NYC at the end of the year. I always loved learning about astronomy and it was something I did on my own throughout middle school. My dream is to own a telescope so I can look at the sky every night. I like writing informational or argumentative pieces because I like doing research but I also like writing creative pieces is some cases. I hate broad writing prompt because I get writers block every time because I have to follow a prompt but I also have to come up with something creative enough so I always have trouble creating a plot. I also don't like writing tings like poems just because it doesn't flow. I like writing when is not an obligation with either entire freedom on the topic or a very specific prompt which usually guides me to a good plot.
