Introduction
For thousands of years, people created stories to explain the world around them. Some of the stories involve imaginary creatures like giants and dragons, and others mention people with extraordinary powers. Cyprus’ tradition has a vast amount of such stories to demonstrate.

Kornos village is known for its ancient art of pottery which uses natural red clay. Furthermore, it has two mountains which they may have a very small height, but are remarkable for their shapes. Lithari, one of these mountains, has the shape of a human face; Troullorotsos, the second mountain, looks like two stone-hedge towers. However, no legends that refer to the creation of these mountains or the colour of the ground, have been recorded.
