         <title>Tuesday &amp; Wednesday, October 1st &amp; 2nd</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div> NJSLSA.R2. Determine central ideas or themes of a text and analyze their development; summarize the key supporting details and ideas <br><br> NJSLSA.R3. Analyze how and why individuals, events, and ideas develop and interact over the course of a text. <br><br> NJSLSA.R10. Read and comprehend complex literary and informational texts independently and proficiently with scaffolding as needed. <br><br>1. Students continue multiple intelligence group work with check-ins and conferences from the teacher to make sure that they are on task and progressing with the assignment. <br><br>2. Students receive a study Guide for the RTT test highlighting all of the parts of the test: constructed response, choose the best verb to complete the paragraph, identify the conflicts, true and false, elements of plot, and other comprehension questions in relation to the story.  </div>]]></description>

Read and comprehend complex literary and informational texts independently and proficiently with scaffolding as needed. <br><br>1. Students take the RTT assessment consisting of evidence-based questions, vocabulary words in the context of the story, and write a constructed response highlighting an alternative perspective upon who the protagonist may be.<br><br>2. Google Forms is the forum that this assessment is presented on for the students.<br><br>3. Students have prepared a study guide in partners in preparation for this assessment. <br><br>4. Students if finished early with the two part assessment may work in their multiple intelligence presentation groups or complete the CommonLit review of the story to test other skill sets independently.   </div>]]></description>

Read and comprehend complex literary and informational texts independently and proficiently with scaffolding as needed. <br><br>1. Students spend the duration of the period presenting their RTT multiple intelligence group presentations.<br><br>2. After presentations, students are given their first writing anthology focusing on narrative structure. <br><br>3. The students read and review the prompts expected of them and ask questions.<br><br>4. The teacher and students begin brainstorming for the  first prompt together and the teacher fives student's feedback on their brainstorming charts.</div>]]></description>
