The Japanese people were fearful of another nuclear occurrence,they were exposed to large, hamful amounts of radiation. Most of the deaths were in the elderly, those 60 years of age and older, but not during the actual disaster. Some deaths occurred within weeks afterwards.

Scientists have researched and found that radiation has affected a specific prevalent in Japan species of pale grass blue butterfly in such a way, the sizethe species has diminished, as well as the mortality rate of the species, as well as the growth rate.
