Growth Statement

Photography has taught me many things about creativity this semester. At first, I believed being "good" at photography was to use the right camera settings and get everything in focus, but it really is about finding individuality in more general things. I enjoy doing the photography scavenger hunts because it gives you a sort of basis to go off of but still have creative freedom. I also enjoyed learning how to properly edit photos because you can do a lot with editing. Learning through photography will help me use my creativity not only in the class but outside of class as well. Seeing colors differently and the use of lighting has helped make my photography better. Some advice I would give to someone starting photography is to really try and find smaller things that are detailed to photograph. It is more interesting and you can be more creative with detailed items. Photography is a super fun class and getting to hangout with friends and take photos is the best part about it! I love using the skills I have learned to make the best photos I can and using my creative side.
