My School-From-Home Workbook! (Day 37 - Friday, May 29th, 2020) by Mark Giraldi

I will be sending a new one of these each school morning to your parent's e-mail! It'll contain all of our schoolwork for the day. Any assignment submissions can be turned in through our class site (Edmodo). You should aim for one hour of schoolwork each school day! Don't forget about Ms. Garbett's weekly French work (posted on her Brightspace site), which you can access through your BYOD page (https://byod.peelschools.org/), and Mr. Bieman's Music page, which you can access through Google Classrooms (https://classroom.google.com/).

16 Personalities (Personality Test and Reflection)

We're going to take a break off report writing, and instead learn about personality types (and what they can possibly mean for our future relationships, schooling, job opportunities, etc)!

Before we start, please preview the following video on what 'personality' actually is! It's a bit advanced, but even watching on the introduction part will give you an idea of what we're looking for today!

What is 'personality'?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcsc_EsJmsA

After watching (and before taking the test), do a quick skim of the 16 personality types this test will sort you into. What type do you think you are?

The 16 Personality Types
https://www.16personalities.com/personality-types

Here's the tricky part. You need to answer this test honestly! If you don't understand a question (or don't know how to respond) always put your answer at the centre of the scale, meaning you're 'unsure' on the issue or statement. The test will take about 12 minutes! Make sure you put an answer for each question, even if it's just an 'unsure' in the middle! (The more questions you're able to understand and answer the better though, as it gives the program more information to work with!)

Personality Test
https://www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test

I've attached my personality below! Feel free to check it, along with the 'must sees' of what you'll be posting on our Language Arts section of Edmodo (either through voice recording, online notepad work - such as through Google Docs - or physical writing your response down and turning it in)!

Personality Reflection Must-Sees

1. Your name and personality type
2. Explaining what your personality type means in a short paragraph

3. Famous people with your personality type
4. Three strengths
5. Three weaknesses
6. Include a picture!

You can find out more about your personality type (including what types of jobs your personality type often goes for, what dating is like for them, etc) if you keep reading past the 'Strengths and Weaknesses' section!

Have fun! This is an activity you might want to share with your family, and if they've got time let them try it too!

My personality is that of a protagonist, meaning that I have a strong personality (talking a lot and having a presence in the room) and that I'm a natural leader.

Some famous examples of Protagonists are...
1. Barack Obama (former President of USA)
2. Oprah Winfrey (talkshow host, actor, producer of movies, giver to charities)

Some strengths of this are...
1. Being tolerant
2. Being reliable
3. Being a leader

Some weaknesses of this are...
1. Overly idealistic (wants everything to be perfect)
2. Too selfless (spends more time helping others than helping oneself)
3. Struggle to make difficult decisions
