However, there are multiple barriers to getting health care. This includes lack of availability, high cost, and lack of insurance coverage. Access to health coverage includes coverage, services, timeliness, and workforce. Coverage is very important because "Lack of adequate coverage makes it difficult for people to get health care they need and, when they do get care, burdens them with large medical bills"(Health pg.6). The services often include a primary care provider, someone who you can trust and have a good relationship with. Timeliness is also important for patient satisfaction and fast diagnosis. Something that has been a concern is the workforce. "To improve the Nation's health, it is important to increase and track the number of practicing PCPs"(Health pg.7). They caught it at an early stage so it is treatable. If they had not gone to the doctor regularly, they would not have found it so early.
