Llegamos a Santiago a las 22 por la tarde y las familias estaban esperándonos a la parada del autobús. Después fuimos a casa y conocimos mejor a Carmen y su hija Andrea. La señora estuvo muy disponible, mientras que creo que la hija nos odiaba...
Durante el fin de semana fuimos a visitar la Catedral y Finisterre, un pueblo cerca del oceano, donde se acaba el camino de Santiago. Las clases empezaron el lunes y han sido siempre muy interesantes y divertidas. Nuestra profesora se llamaba Loli y era muy amable.
En el curso de la semana hemos hecho dos entrevistas a personas en las calles o en los bares, una vez la entrevista estuvo sobre las comidas, mientras que lo otra estuvo sobre los horarios españoles. Después fuimos muchas veces de excursiones. Hicimos una ruta de senderismo, fuimos a comer churros con chocolate, vimos cortometrajes, visitamos el Parque de Alameda ¡y me gustò muchìsimo! Llegamos a Santiago al primer día de abril. La mujer que nos hospedó se llama Carmen y me pareció muy amable y disponible; su casa no era muy grande y un poco anticuada pero nos encontramos bien y su comida era bastante rica. En el fin de semana visitamos la ciudad, la Catedral y Finisterre (un pueblo cerca del oceano) y ¡me gustaron muchísimo! La caterdral es tan grande y particular y la ciudad de Santiago es llena de sitios maravillosos. Empezamos la escuela el lunes y las clases fueron muy interesantes y divertidas, como nuestra profesora Ángeles. Por las tardes hicimos varias actividades: aprendimos los bailes típicos, visitamos museos, hicimos entrevistas por las calles de la ciudad sobre comidas típicas y sobre los turistas, hicimos una caza al tesoro, comimos chocolate con churros…¡fue increíble! El tiempo no fue demasiado bueno porque llovió mucho los primeros días, pero nos divertimos lo mismo. Estaba muy triste el último día...extrenaré mucho Santiago, ¡fue un viaje inolvidable!

In Finisterre, even though it was very windy, we saw the lighthouse and the ocean and I really loved it, it was beautiful and powerful.

Aquí vienen muchas personas para relajarse y para asistir a muchas manifestaciones y hay un belvedere que ofrece un panorama maravilloso. En este parque hay tres recursos principales construidos para las antiguas clases sociales: el recurso a la derecha para el pueblo, lo al centro para los nobles y lo a la izquierda para los religiosos y los intelectuales.  Este parque es famoso también para sus estatuas, como la de Ramón del Valle-Inclán, famoso poeta.

Aquí están muchos monumentos y 90 diferentes especies de árboles. El parque es siduado sobre una área donada por los contes de Altamira en el siglo XVI. En el curso de los años el parque ha sido ampliado y ahora eso comprende trés jardines: Parque de la Alameda, el paseo de la Herradura y el bosque de robles de Santa Susanna. En este parque están también diferentes estatuas, como la de Rosalía De Castro, una famosa poetisa.
