Last year was a hard year to be a fifth grader, to lose out on many things you had looked forward to getting a chance to do because of the pandemic. Your perseverance to bring back archery and Scottie Olympics during a crazy pandemic year last year gave our daughter Kaitlyn the opportunity to have something to look forward to and to cherish her final year at HP. Avery loves your fun games “especially the hockey one”. Thank you for going above and beyond and helping make Highland Park a special place for our family. Enjoy your well deserved retirement!

You took our then nervous, hesitant 1st grader and made her feel safe and included. All the cheers, pep talks, Scottie Olympics, Fun Runs, and archery competitions have made a big and lasting impact on Frances's confidence and resilience. I'll never forget when 3rd grade ended abruptly in 2020 and we came up to school to collect Frances's school supplies. She was tearing up, missing school, and you happened to be outside and sat down with her to have a private chat. I'm not sure what y'all said to each other, but she was much happier afterwards and knew things would be ok. You've been a fun, consistent, and understanding role model and we will miss you dearly! I wish Vin had more time with you, but all good things must end eventually. We wish you all the best in your retirement!

How can I ever thank you enough for helping both of my kids enjoy PE. For Jackson, he had not been included in gen ed PE until you created a "King Jackson" position for him to participate.
