Number facts are the fundamental computations like 9 + 3 = 12 or 2 x 3 = 6. Students memorize number facts in the primary grades. Recalling number facts is very important as it helps student to advance more complex mathematical thinking without being bogged down by simple calculations. However, a student with a deficiency in this skill may not be able to recall basic maths facts, procedures, rules or formulas, very slow to retrieve facts or have difficulties with precision during mathematical work.
