In het bouwwerk worden vijftien panelen geplaatst waarvan er tien betrekking hebben op de historie van Borne en vijf op de actualiteit. Bij het eerste is te denken aan textielfabriek Spanjaard, busonderneming OAD, Hengelose Bierbrouwerij en recent Zuster Josephine en Wout Weghorst.

Naast de informatie bij het centrale Baken heeft het project als doel om vanuit het centrale Baken een verbindende functie te vervullen naar andere Bakens in Borne en de kerkdorpen. Zoals
Watermachientje Spanjaard, het Spookhuis en de kloostertuinen in Zenderen. Bij dit project wordt met name aandacht besteed aan kennisoverdracht voor jong en oud met behulp van educatie, bijeenkomsten, augmented reality en QR-codes die doorverwijzen naar online beschikbare informatie.

Dit Jeugdhonk is gevestigd bij het zwembad in Borne.
