Here I use the cats as a representation of looseness and confidence, that contrasts to the girl in the corner of societal expectations and her own overthinking and insecurities. As a small element, I want to contrast  the glass of water on the window-sill with the full plate of food on the floor (that I apparently forgot to put into the sketch). Also, I used a cat pair outside girl's house - in the society - to demonstrate the societal expectations, but also to introduce the idea of how inner-self confidence - one of the cat level - translates into the behavior and appearance. This is just me practicing using soft pastels and figure drawing. I'm not quite sure exactly how I want to set up my artwork yet- deciding between doing figure drawings or doing something to do with hands pulling at skin. I definitely want to use soft pastels and play with the color scheme (probably some purple/blue bruise-colored flesh to portray the tension and discomfort). Still in early process of development.
