1. The food
Polish cuisine is has extreme variety in all kind of dishes regardless if they are vegetarian or with meat/ fish. Since Poland is such a big country each region has some variations from the recipe but dishes like bigos (sauer kraut with pork meat, mushrooms and lots of different spices), pierogi (dumplings with many different fillings; some are vegetarian, some are filled just with meat) etc.
2. Hard work
You can see is by yourself in nearly every country that Polish people are very hard working, dedicated to the job they do. This is best shown in the physical jobs like constructions or warehouses although sometimes they don't work in the most efficient way they try to recompensite it with pace that they work.
3. Appearance
In the past the looks (clothing) of Polish society was very diverse depending on the region but it was very colorful (see picture below). Right now clothing of men and women doesn't differ much from the looks of other european societies. The other aspect is that the whole Polish country has caucasian white skin color (natives), rather pale and blonde for either men and women.
4. Stagnation
This part is somewhat contradicting the second point but it really applies to elderly people that retired from work. Most of the time the main activity of those people is just sitting on the bench somewhere in park/ main square and talking amongst their peers.
5. Voice level
The Polish nation likes to be heard thus most of the time on the market is so loud that you cannot hear the person next to you. Very often happens that when Polish person want to stand his point will rise his/ her voice nearly to the scream.

1. Family
For (almost) every Polish person family is the most important thing on the entire world. Bonds between family members are very strong and after split up (moving out from family home) everyone keep in touch. While parents get old and they're not able to some stuff they can still depend on their child(ren).
2. Personal space
"My personal space belongs only to me" and no one should interrupt personal zone (except nearest family eg. wife/ husband) it's rare to see a hug as a greet or someone hanging on the others shoulders. This is pretty much a rule but now it's a bit more open.
3. Compliments
Polish men in general don't know what to do/say when receiving a compliment. Most of the time women get compliments from men the other way around it's very rare that's why we don't know how to react to it. In that case the most common answer would be "oh stop it" (a przestań).
4. Hospitality
Polish families are most of the time very open to invite friends of their relatives to home for a lunch, coffee/ tea and dinners. In the situation that you got invited to their house you shouldn't refuse it without giving a convincing excuse. Although the Polish society is rather poor you can expect the table to bend from food when you got invited for a meal.
5. Rising a child
Every Polish children is being prepared to face the brutal world since the beginning. That means strict discipline, obedience to parents and lots of rules. Despite that Polish children are have good childhood (the mindset is that it could've been worse so be happy from what you got).

1. Religion
Almost 90% of Polish population is christian and often some of catholics rules are not respected. For older generations religion is one of the most important things in their lives. Novadays that trend is not visable amongst children, although almost every kid went through baptism and through first communion they are not being religous themselves (parents make those decisions for kids)
2. Friendship
Most of the times friends show up when they need something from you (a piece of advice, money, help) but some friendships are for life you won't lose contact no matter what happens. The second group is considered by many people like blessing in their lives.
3. Tattoos
The common believe about tattoos is that the person having those is related to criminal world (that was in the past). Novadays tattoos are considered as a body art unless they're not abusing.
4. Role models
Since most children first years spend with only parents around those parents try to show them how to behave in the situations becoming role models for their kids. Later on kids actually evaluate if those things they learned from parents are good or bad.
5. Ridiculous believe
The ridiculous believe that still exists in Polish society is that women are not meant to be working but just to give birth to children, rise them, do all the chores and welcome husbands with open arms
