The animals were the main characters, there was a house cat and two dogs. The book was very depressing because the animals suffered a lot. All three of the animals depended on each other and never gave up. The story is very realistic because animals do get lost and find their way back home.


      Another word I am choosing is teamwork. The animals worked as a team to get back home. They went through a big adventure moving west to go home. They suffered so much but still they made it home and never gave up. The book was very easy to visualize because the author provided so much detail that it really felt like I was in the story.

I chose adventure because the animals were in the Canadian wilderness heading west for their home. They had to find their way home on their own. The action took place in the woods in the middle of winter and at their home in Canada. It felt like I was a character in the story and I can imagine myself as one of the animals. The main characters are believable because some animals run away or get lost and have to go through a lot to make it back home. I give the book a thumbs up it gives a lot of detail and I also could not stop reading. I think the book Bud Not Buddy and The Incredible Journey are similar because Bud was on a big journey to find his father and the animals are on a journey home. The most interesting part is when the animals were using their natural abilities to find their home.
