Also, she was late to work, and she was told that there was a terrorist attack. She worked two blocks away, so she could've gotten hurt.

The most surprising piece of information that I found out from my interview is that my grandfather who was an ex-firefighter went to Ground Zero everyday after 9/11 for weeks to try and help find the bodies of his friends. I realized that even the people that weren't firefighter or police officers were still helping out. A very impactful thing that I found out is that my mom who had my one-month-old sister at home was very scared that she would not come home one day because she commuted to work everyday in New York City

These were very influential because it lets me know that my mom went through a lot, and it made me look at my mom differently.

This caused people on the other half of the world, places like India, to start questioning their own defense, and whether they could defend against an attack like this

It was so influential because it is really sad that people were doing that because they didn't want to die like other people did. I did not that. Also, another surprising things I learned that one of my mom's friend's son worked in the building and that he stayed home because his daughter had strep throat and that is the only reason he is alive today because he worked on the 97th floor. That is influential because he could have died if he didn't choose to stay home with his daughter.

The two most important pieces of information that I learned from my interview this weekend were about Flight 93 and the Twin Towers. Before this weekend, I did not know much about Flight 93. I learned that there were 4 terrorists on the plane. The passengers took a vote on whether or not to attack them. They also believed that there may have been a fifth terrorist, since the other hijacked planes had 5. They think the fifth terrorist might have been denied access to the U.S. I also learned that the North Tower was hit about 20 minutes before the South Tower. However, it fell about 20 minutes after the South Tower. I found that interesting, as the North Tower, though hit sooner, stood longer. I wonder if that might be because the hit on the North Tower was was not as destructive as the hit on the South Tower.

I was influenced by this information because it shows how the United States was vulnerable to attack and how we took the attacks by surprise.

Luckily they found out later that she wasn't on that flight that hit the tower. Another important and impactful piece of information I learned was that my aunt/ mom's sister worked in one of the towers. I am thankful that they both didn't go that day, because if they were on the train during that day, they could've possibly not be alive today. Additionally, I learned that a former neighbor of mine worked in the Towers, but fortunately was in another building across the way. There were many funerals for months and months, and whenever they found the remains of someone else, there would be another funeral. YES, I actually have mutual family friends who CHOSE to sacrifice themselves during that flight to benefit the nation. How neat is that? I also realized that the human spirit is really capable of rising to heroism in times of turmoil, knowing it will reap benefits for those who are left behind.

The two most impactful news I learned from my interview was that my cousin's Mother saw the towers get hit, and she told me how she felt; she felt sympathy for those people who died, even though she didn't even know them. That taught me that I should help those in need, despite my knowledge of them.

Also that on the news when they were streaming live while the second plane crashed everyone literally saw the second plane crash. It meant that people literally saw the horror in the people around the building and how scary it truly was.
