Scenario:

Mr. Leo, a school bus driver, is picking up grade 8 students on his usual route. However, after a delay at one stop, he realizes they are running late for school. Worried that the students might be tardy, he decides to press the gas pedal harder, making the bus accelerate more quickly than usual. As the bus gains speed, some students who are not seated properly or wearing seatbelts begin to feel the sudden force pushing them back. One student, who was standing to talk to a friend, nearly loses her balance as the bus accelerates. Approaching a turn, Mr. Leo keeps his speed high instead of slowing down. The bus leans sharply, making some students scream as they feel the sudden change in velocity. If you were the school bus driver, would you imitate what Mr. Leo did and prioritize speed over the safety of passengers? Why or why not?
