Something that surprised me about this article was that during hibernation, metabolism is significantly slowed down. (Heart rates go from 600 beats per minute to less than 6 heart beats per minute. This surprised me because even though I knew hibernation was very different then regular sleep, I never suspected that your body changes.

what surprised me is that a a big brown bat (Eptesicus fuscus) hibernated in a refrigerator for 344 days. this surprised me because I didn't know that was possible.

I read about the Lock Ness monster might just being a giant Eel. what surprised me was that scintists from new zeland came out to a scottish lock and realised that the so called monster might just be a giant eel.

I read about how scientists study rats playing hide and seek. Something that surprised me was that the rats really interacted and was really into the game. They would go to the spots that the scientists went to in the past.
