Was when me and my dad went to Melbourne for a movie audition we stayed at my uncle’s and auntie’s house. Near the third day we went to the city where there were Lots of cool shops and Lego statues. But when we went out through the back exit I saw plastic rappers everywhere I even found a ring and a fully working phone but we gave that to the police to make sure they got it back. The next day it was even worse! In the pond close to the house we were staying at I saw a black swan gobbling a full measly bar rapper I thought surely that wouldn’t be good for it but fortunately it was fine.(yay)That was the first time I Started caring about plastic pollution.

Creating my Big Question

To create my BIG question, I thought about some issues that I care about.

I then sought feedback from two critical friends and Ms Johnston, to help improve my Big question.

My big question was How might littering affect plants and animals in the school and how can we avoid the affects.

After listening to their feedback, it became How might littering affect plants and animals in the school and how can we avoid the affects.

Creating Smaller Questions

When researching, smaller questions are important because they help us find our big question’s answer.

To develop my small questions, I thought broke down my big question int some smaller questions using the words who, what, when, where why and how.

I then sought feedback from two critical friends and Ms. Johnston. Their feedback was to try to make the questions different, to research more on the garbage process and to focus on the most common types of litter.

My original small questions were:

In what area is most littered in the school?
Who might effect plants and animals and animals in the school?
Where might littering effect plants and animals in the school?
When might littering effect plants and animals a in the school.
What might littering effect?
Why might littering effect plants and animals ?

After listening to their feedback, my revised small questions are:

Primary and Secondary Sources

As researchers, it is important to consider the different types of sources we can use.

A primary source is a first hand account of the experience.

A secondary source is information that has been created by someone who was not present at the event or who did not directly witness the event.

Some primary sources that I believe will support my inquiry process are Research data, Census statistics and an expert
