I think that the Jim Carry Grinch quote "One o'clock, Wallow in self pity
Four thirty, Stare into the abyss
Five o'clock, Solve world hunger; Tell no one
Five thirty, Jazz-ercise
Six thirty, dinner with me.

One of the biggest ways I use time management throughout the day is with my calendar app on my iPhone. My husband and I share a calendar together where we allot time for big things, like appointments, to little things, like “read my book”. It helps keep us both on track and also have a good grasp on what we can actually fit in our schedule. Timers also are a big part of our daily routine. In order to get all that I need to get done in a day, I can’t really spend too much time on one thing. I must make the most out of whatever time I give myself. Of course the time needs to be realistic. For example, I set a 2 hour timer to get as much school work as I can for that day. Being a stay at home mom or two kids 3 and under, this helps me stay on task and not be distracted while still fulfilling the other needs of our home.

I do best with putting what I need to do on my digital calendar on my phone, it reminds me what I need to do, and I can set how many minutes ahead I need this reminder. It is a life saver sometimes! I tend to try to cram one subject of study in a longer period, I’m learning to try to separate the subjects in smaller blocks so as to not get overwhelmed and brain fogged. Overall, not really setting aside down time has its downfalls, but, when I need a break, I take it. I just don’t have it scheduled at this point in my life.

Rebekah Gulotta

I use time management to, well, keep track of my time. I think it's a great way to get things done during the day and really understand how to plan out my day and week, because I noticed that it was hard to have extra time left over, however, having tried this for some time, I have found that I now have much more time left over every day.

I have to be careful with how I manage my time since I work full time and started school full time. When I get off work I will start on some of my homework for a while and then I will take a break and make some dinner or go to the gym to give myself a little break before I get back to doing more school work. I also like to break up what I'm working on depending on how much work I have for a class.

Hello everyone! My name is Amanda Goldsmith. I am a full time momma, I work full time and I am a full time student. Finding balance is something I am working on. I am going to be dropping to part time to be able to better focus on school. I use my handy yearly organizer here to keep me on track with assignments and due dates as well as Dr. appt and my kids school events. I use the little free time I find that I have to complete work assignments and cram in some family time.

Time management is really important to me as I am extremely forgetful and struggle with my short-term memory. In order to follow a schedule like this I have to have an alarm/timer set for nearly everything I have to do, other than when I am in class. This helps me to stay on task and not get too distracted, but it does make me feel like I have very little freedom with how I can structure my day.
