The president's legal team asked to stay the case while the Justice Department appeals an October decision denying its attempt to substitute as the defendant in place of President Trump.
I think is good that the legislative is taking force because trumps is taking action instead focus on what's important and its risking too much.

This is an example of The executive Branch using it's powers because Biden (president-elect)elected Denis as VA. Showing the president(elect)can choose who can become VA Secretary.
I don't have much of an opinion on this yet, considering I don't know much about  Denis McDonough, but I'm hoping it was a good choice.

This is an example of the Legislative branch using it's power by refusing to advance Trump's 

I don't know much about this, but since Trump's nominee is controversial, for now I'm going to agree with the senate. As someone of high power, you need to put your best foot forward. Not be problematic, in this case nominating someone problematic.

This is an example of the Legislative Branch using its power because Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, wants to not have a federal shutdown because he believes that they shall not return home for the holidays until the citizens are safe against Covid-19. 

I agree because working on getting a vaccine faster will be more beneficial to everyone.

This is an example of the Judicial Branch using it's powers because the Supreme Court are voting and deciding on the rights of abortion and to weather allow it or prevent it.
I believe abortion is a woman's right and women should have that choice. There are multiple mixed feelings about abortion in the Supreme Court, but I agree with allowing it.

3. One of a judges jobs as part of the executive branch is to judge people in court, and in some cases determine a criminals punishment. In this case, the judge uses their power by banning a criminal from the place which the crime was committed.

This is an example of federalism because this applies to all the U.S. (it's literally the U.S. Capitol) and shows how (police and leaders) have the power to treat certain issues differently, in the way they want..
It angers and upsets me the fact that peaceful BLM protests have people being teargassed, arrested, etc., but when there's Trump supporters literally mobbing the Capitol, barely anything is done about it and the police who were there just let it slide by and did nothing. The people even took pictures with them like it was a meet & greet.

3. The Judicial branch contains the supreme court which is the highest court. The article explains this situation where the supreme court denied Trump’s bid to stop DACA. So both of those correlate

4. I agree with the supreme court. DACA secures children from being deported out of the country they call home. Meaning all of these kids that have lived here for so long now have official papers.

3. The article overall is stating that there was voting for whether to take away some phrases or words that can be hurtful. So both federalism and the articles show the crossing between the state power and national government power.

4. I agree with the article. There are some words that should not be said because of the history behind the word. 

3. Popular sovereignty or republicanism means giving power to the people. One of the best ways us people can use power is by voting like said in the article.

4. I agree that people should have power and express their opinion. The thing I don’t like is how complicated it is to vote.

3. Checks and balances main purpose is to make sure no one has too much power. A few paragraphs in the article talk about making laws to protect lives from police violence. Making laws require all branches.

4. I agree sometimes police do go overboard with their power. A lot of the times there is a pattern with race. So many have decided to stand against it. They just want their lives to be protected and their justice secured.

- I think that the rioters storming the capital was not an excellent idea. They aren't "protesters" they are terrorists. Trump lost there was no need to storm the capital. Especially stealing items from the capital building. And not only that, they would ask pass byers what their political view are, and if they didn't agree they would harm them. I do not agree with what the rioters did.
