The insurgent movement was still active with Vicente Guerrero as its leader. To defeat Guerrero, the peninsulares called Agustin the Iturbide. Guerrero no his troops were strong and Iturbide couldn’t defeat the army, instead he offered Guerrero the option of uniting forces to defeat de peninsulares.<br><br></div>]]></description>
