(For example, <strong>dimples</strong> are caused by gene mutations)<br><strong>Alleles </strong>of organisms within a population change because of mutation, gene flow, or sexual reproduction.<br><strong>Sex chromosome abnormalities </strong>occur as a result of chromosome mutations or problems that occur during meiosis.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This is a<strong> process</strong> by wich two individuals produce offspring with genetic traits from both parents.<br><br><strong>Gametes</strong> are haploid and reproductive cells that unite at fertilization to form a cell called zygote. <strong>Haploid </strong>cells contains one complete set of chromosomes.<br><strong>Fertilization </strong>is the union of two sex cells wich results in the production of offspring with a mix of inherited genes.<br><br><strong>Parthenogenesis</strong> is a type of asexual reproduction that does not require the fertilization of a female egg cell.</div>]]></description>

During <strong>cell cycle </strong>cells grow and replicate through an ordered series of events <br><br>In <strong>mitosis</strong>, chromosomes are duplicated and divided evenly<br>between two daughter cells.<br><strong>Meiosis </strong>has two phases: Meiosis I and Meiosis II.<br>The <strong>difference</strong> is that sex cells are produced through meiosis, while all other body cell types are produced through mitosis.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Meiosis I<br></strong>Pairs of chromosomes are lined up at the center of the cell and then pulled to each side.<br>In <strong>crossing-over</strong> there is a exchange of genes dividing the cell and leaving two new cells.<br><br><strong>Meiosis II</strong><br><strong>Prophase I</strong>I: DNA that remains in the cell begins to condense and form short chromosomes.<br><strong>Metaphase II:</strong> All of the chromosomes line up along the center of the cell.<br><strong>Anaphase II</strong>: Shows the chromosomes split and move to opposite sides of the cell. <br><strong>Telophase II:</strong> Shows the DNA completely pulled to the sides and the cell membrane begins to pinch.<br><br>Finally there are <strong>four</strong> haploid cells called <strong>gametes.</strong></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Prophase</strong>: DNA gets duplicated, and the cell prepares for the process of mitotic division.</div><div><strong>Metaphase</strong>: DNA lines up along a central axis and the centrioles send out tubules that connect to the DNA.</div><div><strong>Anaphase: </strong>Half of the chromosomes are pulled to one side of the cell.</div><div><strong>Telophase:</strong> The cell membrane closes in and  splits the cell into two pieces.</div><div><strong>Interphase: </strong>The normal state of a cell.
