         <description><![CDATA[<div>Toxicologists study toxic agents and their effect on living organisms. It is the job of toxicologists to make sure that substances remain harmless. Their goal is to protect the health and safety of all living things.<br>Toxicologists do experiments to find out how toxic a substance is. <br>Some toxicologists work for government agencies. They develop programs to increase public awareness about common chemicals. They try to inform people about the risks and benefits of the chemicals they use every day. They may develop policies to regulate the use of harmful substances.<br>Medical toxicologists work with patients who have been exposed to harmful chemicals. They do research to try and prevent these dangerous situations from happening. Veterinary toxicologists do similar work, but with animals.<br>Many people in this field work as professors in universities. They do research on chemicals and teach students.</div>]]></description>

You need to be very good in science through ot middle and high school. You want to take general science, biology, physics, chemistry, and college prep math courses like calculus. It's recommended to take every opportunity to expand your knowledge. Also, it's good to have communication skills, oral and written.</div>]]></description>

For example, with a bachelor's degree, a toxicologist earns just under 50,000 dollars a year (in 2008). Also, with masters degree, toxicologists will earn just over 50,00 dollars a year. But those toxicologists with doctorates earn almost 100,000 dollars yearly. After 10-19 years of working, toxicologists with a bachelors or masters earn 100,000 dollars and those with doctorate earn 150,000 dollars yearly.</div>]]></description>
