Some children took food to last them for the journey.
Most children were evacuated by train,but some were evacuated by car, bus or boat.
240,000 is the amount of children that gets evacuated from London itself.
A U-boat sank and 256 people died, and 77 of them were children!!!
For some evacuations the public arranged them not the government.
