People often do not take me seriously because I am a girl and because I am young. For instance they often exclude me from political conversations because they assume I dont have anything to contribute.

Another example is in when I am in a gym, I am always one of or the only girl in the commonly male-domonant space. At times I feel like an outliar being both younger than everyone there and the only girl. It excludes me from typical gym culture because no one would talk to someone of my demographic there.

Lastly, being a young girl, I have to think about walking alone at night, what I am wearing where, how to react in certain situations, and to always have some sort of defense/alarm with me.

Because I am fortunate to be economically stable, my family is able to send me and my sister to Hebrew school and private schools. I am also lucky to not have to worry about money as a factor when applying to colleges. This has allowed me to grow closer to my religous identity through learning Hebrew and meeting people similar to me.

People have assumed that because I am white and dont fit the steryotypes of being Jewish appearence wise, I must be Christian/are part Irish.

Because I am Jewish, I feel like I am well educated on Judaism. I went to an all Jewish school and then I came back to public school where not many people understood customs/traditions that I practice. This made me feel like I dont fit in around the other students at my school and also makes me feel like I should be educated on other religions/educate them on my religion.
