I like helping others and try to understand their reality. I am comfortable in the uncomfortable because I am adaptable. Sometimes I can be too adaptable at trying to help others so much so that I forget to help myself first.

Being able to connect with the people around us but first of all acknowledging ourselves for who we are.

To find a way to instil a sense of worthiness in ourselves but also those around us we care about.

I really try to make people feel comfortable in my presence. My default is overall being very laid back and easygoing with my interactions and I feel like that makes people more comfortable around me and open up more. At least I’d like to think so. I don’t really like serious demeanours and thankfully the people around me have supported me enough to embrace this side of me. Sometimes I may be a bit too laidback but that is something I need to worry about only in academic settings.

I find looking out for each other important. This world can very difficult, to be able to survive it we need to support each other.

That’s why I want to be there for my students, but I also kind of expect it in my students.

I believe that everyone should have a chance to learn, despite being other abled (neurodiversity, handicapability, etc)
I believe that you will always have people in your corner, even though you sometimes might not feel like you do

I believe that everyone is worthy of love. Everyone has their traumas, issues and problems and we all act, from how we feel internally. Thats why I can never hate someone for the way they act, because there is always something going on inside that triggers that behaviour. So my downfall is that i always forgive someone for disrespecting me, because I feel sad for the other person.

However i dont give that same grace and forgiveness to myself because deep down I dont believe i am worthy.

Im working on it 🩷 realising this is always a big step forward💕

I believe I am a caring teacher. I think it is important to give every student a voice and make them feel heard. I believe students need to feel accepted, respected, and safe in their learning environment.

being able to create a safe space for students and teachers so that they feel like they can be themselves without having to feel judged.

I am a teacher who makes sure that all students feel valued and seen in the classroom, no matter if they are gifted and done early or if they need extra help and differentiation. Being the kid in the classroom that was always done before others, bored, waiting for another task, I know what it is like to want that extra information and to want to learn more. Therefore I always (try to) give this to my students. No matter if they need extra deepening of the material or extra help, no one should sit in my classroom doing ‘nothing’ and being bored.

I believe that it’s important to relate to students. To understand the troubles they’re going through. To help prepare them as best I can within the short amount of time in class to prepare them for the world. I think there should be an equal exchange between students and teachers. They can impart their youthfulness and I can (hopefully) impart wisdom.

Every student should be seen, not only their academic results and progress but their whole being. I wanna teach not only Geography (though that's already most ofa what you need in life), but also life skills. Character! I want students to become the best versions of themselves. That means being authentic but also to work hard. To have good priorities in life, to look out for each other. Developing in character is very important, taking age appropriate responsibility. This all means I as a teacher will be a role model, also modeling vulnerability

I believe that at the end of the day everyone wants to feel loved, because I think that is what connects us with life. I try to love myself, my family and friends, surroundings, the sun and just anything that life brings along the journey. I hope the students feel loved within my classes.

Everyone has a right to learn and grow and change at any rate with any ability. Giving the students the space and safety to do so should be the main objective.

I like helping others and leading change.

My main goals are to create a system that can allow more vulnerability and growth mindsets to develop.

I want to make sure all my students feel safe to learn and share there wins and “losses” in academics and life.

It’s important to celebrate even the little things in life.

I believe in creating an environment where students don't feel ashamed in their ignorance and genuinely want to learn. This can be as simple as being comfortable to answer a question in class when they unsure if it's correct or it could be talking about their values and truly trying to learn about other views. I believe that uplifting others and building that habit is an easy route to feeling community and fulfillment.
