For example, "how much is/are...?", "how many would you like?" etc. The students, in groups, would each have an equal amount of money which they used to 'purchase' items of their choice. I would say the words aloud, which the students repeated. We did this a few times as repetition is key. I then stuck all flashcards on the board, ensured the class was silent, and two volunteers would step forward to play, each given a fly swat to land on the correct flashcard. I would say the english word, for eg. "running" and the two students, head to head, would see who is the faster of the two in slapping their fly swat on the right flashcard.
