I have this friend, Maíra, and she’s very good at electronics. While the rest of us are trying to figure out which wire goes where, she already has the whole circuit mapped out in her head. Electronics is one of those subjects that makes most of us panic, but for her, it’s easy.

One day we had a practical class, as we usually have, the kind where if you mess up one tiny thing, nothing works. That day, Maíra wasn’t feeling well and didn’t make it on time.

So it was just me and my friends, trying to handle the experiment on our own. We did our best, but everything was going wrong. The results didn’t match the theory at all. It honestly felt like we were about to blow something up.

Then, finally, Maíra walked in. The second she sat down and started checking our circuit, it was like magic. She didn’t even hesitate. She pointed out where we messed up, switched a few connections, adjusted a few things here and there, and suddenly, everything worked perfectly.

Maíra totally had the Midas touch. Everything she touched, started working exactly like the textbook said it should. She saved the day.
