         <description><![CDATA[<div>- The skin is a site for the presentation of antigens to T cells. It's involvement in immune response via mucosal surfaces classifies it to be a lymphoid associated organ.<br><br>- it functions as a peripheral lymphoid tissue.<br><br>- The skin has APC's and memory cells that reside within it. As a result, when an antigen enters into the skin initially, it is engulfed by APCS and subsequently presented to memory cells.<br><br>- On second encounter, the presence of these memory cells  trigger an inflammatory response in a phase known as the challenge phase ( the two phases are represented in figure below)</div>]]></description>
