More and more people, not only woman, start using cosmetics to maintain their skin. As you know, there is a product called SK-II lotion in now day. The age of people who is using SK-II lotion includes 18-40 years old. But SK-II lotion have a huge problem is the prices of their products are not suitable for wage earners. Now I will introduce why SK-II lotion is famous and how can it be so expensive like that. The most significant part in SK-II lotion is called “Pitera”.

The first one is Vitamins. Vitamins are small amounts of organic compounds needed to support life. Most vitamins need to come from food. This is because the body either doesn't produce enough energy, or it doesn't produce any energy at all. Each organism has a different vitamin requirement. For example, humans need vitamin C or ascorbic acid, but dogs don't. Dogs can produce or synthesize enough vitamin C to meet their needs, but humans cannot. People need to get most of their vitamin D from sunlight because there is not enough of it in food. However, the body can synthesize it in sunlight. Different vitamins have different functions and require different amounts. Vitamins are irreplaceable in the main components of “Pitera”.

And the second part is Amino acids. Amino acids are organic compounds containing amines and carboxyl functional groups, as well as side chains unique to each amino acid. The key elements of amino acids are carbon, hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen, although some side chains of amino acids contain other elements. About 500 natural amino acids are known and can be classified in a variety of ways. The core functional groups can be classified as,, or amino acids according to their positions. Other categories are related to polarity, ph and side chain type. Amino acid residues are the second largest component of human muscle and other tissues in the form of proteins. In addition to the roleas residues in proteins, amino acids are involved in many processes, such as neurotransmitter transport and biosynthesis. And the second part is also irreplaceable of made “Pitera”

The third important part is Organic acids. Organic acid is a kind of organic compound with acid. The most common organic acid is carboxylic acid, whose acidity is related to its carboxylic -COOH. group, in other words, is a relatively strong acid. Alcohol, with - oh, can act as acids, but they are usually very weak. The relative stability of the gluing base of an acid determines its acidity. Other groups can also confer acidity, usually weakly: “the thiol group –SH”, “the enol group”, and “thephenol group”. In biological systems, organic compounds containing these groups are commonly referred to as organic acids. And the third part – Organic acids is also irreplaceable when it is making “Pitera.

From the information we search out, three main parts of made “Pitera” are all can’t be replace. I deem that is the answer for the problem which is “why SK-II is so expensive”. The answer must be things they used to make SK-II lotion are mostly irreplaceable. It is as same as the status of SK-II in female people’s mind.
