One reason is, in big cities, children are kidnapped or as a stereotype, they are convinced by a stranger offering them a candy to come with him/her. But if you live in the countryside you know all the people who live there and you have the opportunity to let your kid  go and play in your neighborhood with your mind at peace just as our parents and grandparents do. Secondly, in small villages, children have a chance to commune with nature. For example, my mother grew up in a village so she loves animals and she knows how to live with them. Yet I don't see a lot of people her age who like animals as she does. Since children can see different types of animals, and plants; they like animals and nature for their whole life. The bulk of the excellent schools are situated in large towns and staying there will provide children with better access to first rate schools and services. For instance, I had some classmates who came from countryside to our school in the city and they said it's completely different from where they studied like the facilities and better educated teachers. Being raised in a big city also ensures that the children are exposed to a diverse range of individuals, which plays an important role in forming the children's cooperation which help them in the long run. For example , when I first moved to Budapest people in my college had some clubs for meeting each other and practice languages, so it helped me a lot when I joined them. First of all , growing up in a big city means that children will have a better chance of receiving a good education ,because most of the top schools are located in the big cities and living there can give children easier access to schools. 
Also ,it  means that children live in an environment that includes all kinds of people, which plays a major role in shaping the child’s personality, children learn about different types of culture and learn to respect each other.
Another reason is that children in the cities don’t have to work at an early age as their minds and skills are developed and they discover new things by games. For example , being able to use  internet in the cities , gives children the access to  educational games and cartoons .
