2. celbration of gods word: this has five parts to it the first is scriptual reading and homily, the second is intercession, the third is invocation of the saints, the fourth is prayer of exorcisim and finally anointing of baptism
3.celebration of the sacrement :this involves three parts the first part is the blessing of invocation of god, secondly renunciation of sin and thirdly the baptism
4.explantory rites: this baptismal rit has three parts firstly the anointing with the chrism, secondly clothing with the whit gartment and the lighted candle.

parents have to give assurance that they will raise the child being baptised int he catholic faith. during the baptism the parents have to hold there baby while they get the holy water on there head.
