One mentor I was able to engage with this year was my mum. My mum currently works part time however having my father overseas she's been put with the pressure of cleaning driving and looking after three kids. Despite her efforts to maintain her job and us kids she still made time to make a cake and to things she enjoys. I took out of this is it's important to continue to do the things you enjoy in life despite the challenges of every day life.

However I think on thing everyone can take out of this episode was how despite it being online everything is traceable and permit online. This is important as it can effect there future job offers and other formal offers. One thing that did challenge my thoughts of the future is how it's important to find something that you enjoy. Just like are detective, she sees these horrific things but does she have the stomach to handle it?

These emotions where displayed by the cliff hanger and multiple cross roads that the characters faced. Some of these where when are secondary detective is seen faking her death and tracking are killer in a foreign country. Some questions I have are, will she catch the killer? how did she track him to this foreign country? and why has this killer done this atrocity?

What different conventions does Forest 404 have and how?

There are many different types of conventions throughout the many episodes of ‘forest 404’. Some of the ones depicted through the first paragraph is the characters (Pippa Hayward), the style (narrative), where it’s set (24thcentury) and the audio quality (bbc)

How does this podcast show us 'the future'?

We can identify this is a futuristic podcast through many factors such as, the 404 forest which we can branch of to the genre being dystopian/fiction/scifi. The title is also an indicator about how it shows us the future, ‘life in the fast times’

What is the context of Forest 404? What is the purpose of this podcast? Who is the audience?

The context behind the thriller of a podcast ‘forest 404’ is, where the earth has been wiped and erased of all history and prior knowledge. It explores the natural world; how hard relationships are and how what people will go to sustain those relationships. We are able to identify that this is an advanced podcast with complicated themes and ideas, this helps are presume that this podcast is most suitable for older audiences or matured age groups.

How do these elements contribute to the storytelling and engage the audience?

These elements add to the overall idea of the book as well as the imagination of the audience allowing their brain to be given the idea of freedom to what could the world look like now a data has got rid of all data in history.

Why are they important for creating a cohesive and enjoyable podcast?

It’s important that the podcast have these inclusive ideas as a person can’t imagine an idea within their imaginary beliefs if it’s not somewhat realistic so they can attach their own memories to the imaginary/fiction podcast. This where music and sound effects play an important part, as it is easy to imagine the scene and surroundings but it’s hard to imagine the sound as being in a remote area isn’t common for everyone.
