<title>Foundation - Prince Siddhartha Gautama (also known as the Buddha) was the founder of Buddhism. He was born into the Kshatriya caste (the warrior rulers caste) in the middle of the 6th century BCE. The traditional date for his birth is 563 BCE, although some scholars have recently proposed placing the Buddha’s birth around 490 BCE. He was the son of king Suddhodana Gautama (a member of the Gautama clan of the Shakya tribe), the ruler of Kapilavastu, a kingdom that was located in present day southern Nepal.</title>

<title>Major Belief - Siddhartha  Gautama was a prince who knew nothing of suffering or unhappiness.  One day he wanted to know what it was like on the other side of the palace,  so he went out with a charioteer and the first day he went out he saw an old man, the second day he saw a sick man, then the third day he finally saw his first dead corpse. when he went back to the palace thinking of the men he saw troubled him he wandered if life leads to old age sickness and death? He decided to leave his palace and set off on a quest for 6 years studying with a holy man he became an ascetic someone who practices in self denial of there  to attain spiritual insight. He cut off his hair, and he practically starved himself eating almost nothing but one pea a day after all of that he gave up his ascetic practices and started meditating  out of the month he was meditating one night he suddenly got understanding and he saw into the depth of human suffering and he realized how to escape it.  After everything he went through he became the enlightened one, he set out to teach his followers and anyone who would listen to what he had to say. In the first sermon he preached to his followers  of what became the four noble truths, the first truth is that all life is suffering because it involves physical and mental discomforts- but not only old age sickness and death but grief unfulfilled longings and loss. Second is caused by desire the craving that everyone experiences including desires of love, wealth, power, the Buddha said that  desire is the cause of the endless cycle of birth and rebirth so on and so fourth. So basically The four Noble truths are the ways to achieve Nirvana by following the Noble Eight fold path which are, Right understanding, Right intentions, Right speech, Right action, Right livelihood, Right effort, Right mindfulness, Right concentration. The Buddha spent decades traveling around India teaching followers to seek enlightenment by following the Noble Eight-fold Path he also told people to ignore the cast system because no one is an out caste by birth and no one is neither Brahman by birth but that it is in deed that a person becomes a Brahman.</title>

<title>Impact - After the Buddha died the religion he founded spread over across the borders of India Buddhist missionaries traveling by sea and  took their faith and shared it with Sri Lanka, south of India, Asian Countries of Burma, Thailand,  and Cambodia, and also after he died millions converted to Buddhism. So  After several centuries it spread even wider to China, Japan, and Korea and spread to others countries as well. Buddhism became more dominant in Eastern China And Japan Other places, But it died out in its original Origin because of Hinduism proved to others that it was to strong. But since some of Hinduism is influenced from Buddhism it has some of the components of Buddhism such as  compassion ans non violence. Buddhism is one of the most widespread religions today there are about 350 million followers  most of the followers are located in the previous locations I pointed out earlier. </title>
