The article "10 years since teen's tragic death after cyber bulling" by Kelly Davis, tells us why,"Megan Meier" died from hanging herself after being cyber bullied on an app called "My Space". It writes about how her mom want to start a foundation called "The Megan Meier Foundation". This foundtation was a support system, for other families going through a similier situation. Megans mom never wanted to see anthor tragic thing happen to any other child like it happend to megan. This article was saying that if megan's mom had to look back and do anything diffrently she would have,"The only thing I would change if I went back in time is that 20 minute period when she was upset and I let her room up to her room to take a deep breath. I would have ran up there faster but I just didn't know".

It is ridiculous, how people in this world can live with theirself's after having the fact that their rude and mean words made someone kill theirself, somebody should put an end to it.Glad to hear that In "August, the foundation opened a resource center, where they provide therapy to kids in St Charles County at no cost". People deserve better, and what good to do at no cost? At the end of the day it is a bad thing to cyber bully because bad things like this can happen, and i feel so very sorry for megan meier's friends and family who were involved in this terrible tragedy, certain things should be stopped and this is one of them

http://www.kmov.com/story/33410596/10-years-since-teens-tragic-death-after-cyber-bullying

http://www.meganmeierfoundation.org/megans-story.html

https://www.google.com/search?q=cyber+bullying&biw=1280&bih=884&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjlyLmNoPnPAhXJRiYKHY0tB0cQ_AUIBigB#imgrc=2OgVXpasgoPYmM%3A

The article, "The Ryan Halligan Case (1989-2003)" published by NoBullying.com tell how a 13 year old boy, Ryan Halligan took his own life due to bullying. From pre-k through 4th Grade he was in special education and was often made fun of. In 7th through 8th grade a bully got in a fight with him but a friendship formed out of it, though it wasn't long before the bully reverted back to his twisted ways. The bully started spreading rumors that Ryan was gay and ended up plotting with a girl Ryan had a crush on. The girl befriended Ryan and got information on him and found out his secrets then told the entire school about them. Later the girl called him a loser and Ryan said " It's girls like you who make me want to kill myself."This resulted in Ryan hanging himself in the family bathroom.

It's extremely disgusting that somebody would be willing to go as far as to bully somebody for years and even befriend them just to get their secrets and then spread them around to make the person feel horrible. Though no police charges were made, when the father confronted the bully who spread the rumors of him being gay, the bully broke down in tears repeatedly saying that he was sorry. Years later an anti-bullying policy was passed in Vermont.

https://nobullying.com/ryan-halligan/

The article "Creepy clowns are no joke to Bossier schools" by Amanda Atwell at (http://www.ktbs.com/story/33318646/creepy-clowns-are-no-joke-to-bossier-schools). 3 Bossier students are now in jevenile detention after making threats posing as a clown called "Wally the Clown" on a fake instagram page. The threats of these three clowns include, shooting up a school, blowing up a homecoming parade, and killing a coach and his family. Bossier parish officials are urging parents to keep an eye on their kids social media accounts and cell phone usage. A quote from Bossier sheriff Julian Whittington "Please be in touch with your young folks. Look at their phones, see what they're doing on their computers because this is a criminal offense, this is a felony. We will find out who did it and we will arrest them." My response to all this is I think it is childish to dress up like a clown and go around on social media making threats and constantly say that you are going to do something drastic and horrible to make people scared and to not make them want to go on the interenet anymore.

This article, "11-Year-Old Arrested in Waukesha Creepy Clown Cyber Bullying Case" By scott Anderson. This article is about a student in Waukesha that posted threating messages online using creepyclown123 username. The student was immediatly arrested

"The incident was reported to police, that this app was being used to bully or frighten other students." My thoughts on this qoute is that the app its self is not frightning its just the people that is using it to hurt other people is. I think the 4th grader shouldnt of never went on musical.ly to scare someone or their feelings. Now alot of people is afraid to even get on musical.ly beacause of a kid pretending to be a clown. I dont understand how a 4th grader can bully other kids on social media when their not even old enough to get on musical.ly. In my opinion kids under 12 should just be band from this type of app or any app because this type of bullying could easily make a chilld wanna kill their self or not wanna go to school. This makes me upset.

http://patch.com/wisconsin/waukesha/11-year-old-arrested-waukesha-creepy-clown-cyber-bullying-case.

This article, "11-Year-Old Arrested in Waukesha Creepy Clown Cyber Bullying Case" By Scott Anderson October 24, 2016 11:10 am(http://patch.com/wisconsin/waukesha/11-year-old-arrested-waukesha-creepy-clown-cyber-bullying-case), is about how a fourth Grader was sending disturbing messages and videos on a app called "musical.ly" to other students. This told place in Waukesha, Wisconsin Hawthorne Elementary school on October 24, 2016. This fourth grader was cyberbullying other students by sending threats which lead to this student's arrest. How this student was sending these threating messages was by the musical.ly app on Hawthorne's elementary school's IPAD'S, and went by the username "creepyclown123". Pretty soon the police got involved with the crisis that this elementary school. Once they found out who the student was they removed the app form all Hawthorne's IPAD'S and then took the IPAD'S away from the school and search every IPAD to figure out which one the threats were coming from. This quote helps restate my answer to the cyberbully attack at Hawthorne Elementary School,"The school issued iPad was seized by the Waukesha Police Department, and police are working with juvenile authorities for resolution of the case involving the 11-year-old.". This quote helps because it gives evidence that supports my answer about the arrest for the fourth grader threats on Hawthorne Elementary School.

It is very bad, that Elementary scholars are cyberbullying other people their age. Why would they do this sort of thing? On this website (http://www.stopcyberbullying.org/why_do_kids_cyberbully_each_other.html) there is a quote here "Who knows why kids do anything? When it comes to cyberbullying, they are often motivated by anger, revenge or frustration. Sometimes they do it for entertainment or because they are bored and have too much time on their hands and too many tech toys available to them. Many do it for laughs or to get a reaction. Some do it by accident, and either send a message to the wrong recipient or didn't think before they did something.". This quote is saying that some kids in elementary school do it on accident or on purpose for laughs.

I personally don't think that these kids know what cyberbullying can do to someone and what are the conquences for cyberbullying someone. In the first article about the Creepy Clown cyberbully it said and show the conquences for cyberbullying someone else. Depending on how long it has been going on and what that person is doing to bully the other kid it could lead to suicide and then that person that cyberbullied would have to possibly sent the rest on therte life in prison. That one little action can change your (the bully) and that viticm life's and career's forever.

Duy Nguyen, Hawthorne elementary schools principal, said that many students got messages sending threats to students at the school. Being a loved teenager with many friends and supporters Libby is currently (as You Can See Below) being grieved over at her shrine in a Surfing Club. In the article Surf Life Saving SA chief executive Clare Harris says she was a "much loved and respected girl. We are grieving the sudden and devastating loss of Libby,” My response to the quote would be that this young girl was good and well behaved and had her entire life ahead of her, she didn't deserve to die because someone was careless with their words, she was a good child so make sure you watch what you say on the internet.

In this article "Schoolkids charged with cyber bullying girl, 12, who hanged herself" by: Jimmy McCloskey
This is the story of a 12 year old girl who hung her self because of the illegal act known as Cyber bullying. It all began when Gabrielle Green was receiving messages from a boy and a girl on her phone. The article states " Started rumors of the victim having sexually transmitted diseases,'called her 'vulgar' names, and threatenedto expose 'sensitive' details of her personal life." Once these threats were sent to Gabrielle, she chose to take her own life. Gabrille Green hung her self in her closet. This proves that words either spoken out loud or sent over text can take a dramatic turn of events and/or effect the victim in drastic ways. This is why cyber bullying is illegal; to prevent suicide rates from raising and to prevent not only teens, but everyone from having such a painful experience.

It began when Brandy was receiving abusive messages for months from bullies using untraceable smartphone application. On the day Brandy killed herself she sent an email telling her family she was going to kill her self. Her family rushed home to find her alive. They tried to persuade her to take the gun away from her chest but she was determined. She told her family to "She had come to far to turn around" Her final words to her parents were that "I love you so much just remember that please and I'm sorry for everything''. This article shows what Cyber bullying can to do to somebody. You wouldn't want to be the reason somebody takes their life. You might thinks it's an joke but that person may not. Remember don't be the reason someone has to take their last breath.

She had committed suicide because of cyber bullying that happened at her school.
Her parents were very upset about how her daughter was getting bullying, so they had decided to talk to their daughter's teachers, counselors, principles, and the bullies parents. The bully would comment and say mean things, and it got to the point were she committed suicide. Her parents continue to file a sue for the school because they didn't do anything about the bullying. Each time they had talk to those people they completely ignored them. Her dad said, “It got to the point where she didn’t want to go to school. She had chronic headaches, stomach aches,” Grossman said. “Her grades plummeted. This was showing that because of the bully, she was scared to go to school and she would constantly get stomach aches and headaches. This is bad because the bully is giving her so much pain that she doesn't want to go to school and were she is hurting so much. People always think it's funny to joke around and make fun of people, but how would feel if people were making fun of you? Not so great, i would like to think but kids that are getting bullied don't think of the jokes as jokes, they think of it as a serious matter. So next time, you post about someone, think about how that person would feel, because people's feelings matter.

Cyberbullying is the effect of bullying taking place online; This was learned through "What Is Cyberbullying" posted by stopcyberbullying.gov. The most common places are Social Media, SMS, Instant message, and email. In schools cyberbulling creates an effect of plummeting grades a downfall of positive activities and behavior. Cyberbullying is persistent do to it happining 24 hours a day and having no relief. "Most information communicated electronically is permanent and public, if not reported and removed. A negative online reputation, including for those who bully, can impact college admissions, employment, and other areas of life." This means that if someone is bullied online and it becomes big enough to where employers can see this or if you cyberbully than you can not get the job due bullying. Not many laws and sanctions are made due to this being a fairly new topic though discipline will be needed if caught.

How victims of cyber bullying don't tend to always tell others how they feel, the difference in cyber bullying and cyber harassment, and the long term affects cyber bullying can have on a person. For example in the article

"Cyberbullying Tragedy: New Jersey Family to Sue After 12-Year-Old Daughter's Suicide" by Kalhan Rosenblatt it talks about how a 12 year old girl who comitted suicide after being bullied by classmates. This shows many people around the world who read the article that cyber bullying can have extreme affects it can have on anyone who are not strong enough to speak up for themselves, to try to make their situation better, and the people that are weak and vulnerable to bullies. In conclusion we should speak up for those who are bullied, we should help those who are victims from bullying , and become people who stand up for other people.Just know that"You never look good trying to make someone else look bad". They’re names were hidden because they were minors. The cyber assaults on Gabriella included “rumors about green in person, and online.” “ ’her actions consisted of starting rumors of the victim having… diseases , … name calling …and threats to ‘expose’ personal and sensitive details of the victim’s life’…”.

This is a story of Hope Witsell, Hope was a 13 year-old girl who's only crime was sending a nude picture to a boy she liked. Then another girl took the boy's phone and saw the picture. After seeing the picture, the girl sent the picture to other students in the school. As a result of her sending this nude to the boy she liked she was taunted and bullied from her friends at Beth Shields High School, with insults like "slut" and "whore". After a few months of the picture going around the school, the principle found out about the picture at the end of her seventh grade year.Hope faced a suspension for the end of her seventh grade year and the first week of her eighth grade year. When Hope came back to school the concealer found cuts on Hopes' legs and made her sign a "No-Harm"contract. The next day Hope wrote in her journal "I'm done for sure now. I can feel it in my stomach. I'm going to try and strangle myself. I hope it works". That day Hopes's parents found that she had hung herself in her room.

http://www.puresight.com/Real-Life-Stories/hope-witsell.html

The girls who bullied her sent her messages like “drink bleach and die.” And even after her suicide one of the girls posted on Facebook “Yes ik I bullied REBECCA nd she killed her self but IDGAF" In my opinion I find it disgusting how this girl knows that she is the reason that Rebecca committed suicide yet she doesn’t care. Luckily 2 of the 15 girls involved with the bullying have been arrested, but I know for a fact that many more incidents like this will occur since the article states “Experts who have studied social aggression in teens, including bullying via the Internet, say such harassment is a widespread problem that has gained increased attention in the digital age” hopefully in the future there will be more done to prevent events like this.

This is bad because the bully is giving her so much pain that she doesn't want to go to school. People always think it's funny to joke around and make fun of people, but how would you feel if people were making fun of you? Not so great, I would like to think but kids that are getting bullied don't think of the jokes as jokes, they think of it as a serious matter. So next time, you post about someone, think about how that person would feel, because people's feelings matter.

Mallory begged one of the girl's mother to have her stop but the mother simply responded with "it was just a big joke". Mallory's grades started to get worse as the bullying continued. The girl(s) used Snapchat and Instagram to send hateful messages to her. On June 14th,she just couldn't take all of the hateful words she was being called and ended her life. The school cared more about academics rather than their students' health.

I feel like this is..just so sad. It's terrible how some humans can act..especially for her mother to be okay with the fact that her daughter was cyber-bullying someone. I think that school should be shut down for not caring about how their students feel and only caring about their grades. The people who bullied her and that one girl whose mom even knew should be put in jail. People shouldn't be bullying others for no reason or for entertainment because this can become serious. It angers me that people take it this far.

In my opioin I think sucide and cyberbullying that turns into sucide has the most deaths in the world because of kids that want to be jerks and go bully someone until they go kill themselves. The real world is a messed up place lot's of people are dying everyday behide
cyberbullying.

In my opioin "CYBERBULLYING NEEDS TO STOP" it's to many parents losing there child behide other kids that likes to cyberbully. And other people that starting to bully you see the ones that are going to jail for cyberbullying. Every person that is cyberbullying should be on trail for jail.

By Micah Pickering

The article, "Police accuse two students, age 12, of cyber bullying in suicide," by Jamiel Lynch on January 24, 2018, provides a detailed account of how cyber bullying led to a preteen's suicide. Two students, aged 12, have been convicted of causing Gabriella Green, also known as Gabby, to commit suicide. The boy and girl intended to cause problems between Gabby and another student, threatening to expose private details of Gabby's life. Eventually, she could not live with her tormentors and attempted to hang herself, she was pronounced dead at the hospital.

In one statement from the article, the article states, "The accused girl told officers she intended to cause problems between Gabby and another child and made derogatory comments verbally and electronically, a police report said. 'Her actions consist of starting rumors...vulgar name-calling..and threats to 'expose' personal and sensitive details of the victim's life,'" (CNN). Upon finishing the article, I was shocked to learn how one could commit such an action. It shows how people could be insensitive to one another, as well as how the general public should be informed about the effects of cyber bullying. Those convicted caused mental distress to Gabby, thus leading to her suicide. One would think that someone would take caution in what they say/post on the internet or to others, and this instance of when they didn't remains as a cautionary tale as to what can happen.

The article, "Trauma, Suicides Prompt Cyber bullying Law," by Ron Hilliard from, "NBC 25 news," explains how the outrageous amount of suicides and cyber bullying cases created the need for a cyber bullying law. The overwhelming amount of suicide and cyber bullying cases brought the need for a law against cyber bullying to light, and over time and the law finally became a reality. The cyber bullying law would," include penalties up to 93 days behind bars and a $500 fine. If the bullying leads to a victim’s death, the aggressor would face up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine," as stated in, " NBC 25 news."

I think that the amount of teens and preteens that are killing themselves is very sad, and a reminder of all of the cyber bullying that is happening in the world. I also think that the law against cyber bullying a great way to minimize this massive problem. The law is a necessary asset, and will be very effective. If people know that they are going to have to pay a fine for what they do, along with jail time, then they will think twice about what they are going to put online before they regret it later. After all, there are consequences for your actions.

The article I read was "Wenatchee Teen Arrested In Cyberbullying Case" by News Radio 560 KPQ News Services. This article talks about a two month investigation about high school teen Everett S. Anderson using a twitter account to harass high school students at Wenactchee High School. Everett S. Anderson posted two videos of two siblings who were having a relationship and in the video. The video shows graphic content and it is an example of an sexual assault.
''As it was investigated, additional videos and images were found on the Twitter feed that were being used to ''Roast'' other students''. This direct quote shocked me because you are going to create a account on Twitter just so you can humiliate other students. This person is evil and cruel for making videos about two siblings having sexual content with each other and then posting online for everybody to see. Cyberbullying is not okay because he can hurt someone really bad and soon lead to trouble with the law that you not want to face.

The article, "12yos arrested for cyber bullying before suicide" written by Jason Dearen. This article shows two 12 year old pre-teens, a boy and girl, in Panama City Beach for cyber bullying Gabiella Green leading to death on January 10, 2019. The bullying was caused due how the two pre-teens were threatening to spread personal information about her until one day she could not stand the enormous pressure of them threatening to spreading personal information. So she hung herself. But also before she hung herself she video chatted the boy and showed her the scars of rope on her neck and told her she was going to and the boy said "'If you're going to do it, just do it,' and ended the call."
A statement that records this would be that " ... and threats to 'expose' personal and sensitive details of the victim's life," the police report said. ". This is very sad due to how the boy said "do it" to when she was going to commit suicide. Even tho if she was going to commit suicide or hurt herself, you shouldn't be knowing personal information about someone or even to try to threaten some one to spread personal information. What was the point of doing it anyway to both the boy and the girl. Put it in your shoes and see how it feels.
