I enjoy working with others and every time I work with others it usually ends well and it helps me understand the issue we are covering so much better. This trait is really important for English students because I'm not the only English student and there are so many others just like me and having the ability to work with others will make this process a million times easier and more enjoyable

When I enjoy something, I put in my full drive and passion into any task the outcome is always very good. This is a great trait to have as an English major as English is my passion and I have the drive to learn more and to fully dive deep in all things English

I volunteered at a Hospice Company helping others and keeping patients comfortable and happy. I used my kind/professional and listening skills to help me fully listen and help these patients. I never brought in my burdens or pain I always came in with my happiness and kindness into their lives.

I communicate well with others and always make sure that if certain things are known and also it helps me when i communicate with others to get the full picture. Communication is a really important trait no matter where or what you are doing because being able to tell someone something if its not working or if you need help you must learn to how to communicate

I am in the Friday Eng ed class and joining the students and being able to communicate with others and work with others and to help students is really my passion and just to create a comfortable place for them to learn and really be able to experience a healthy and comfortable classroom is one of the things I push for.

I like helping students and I believe that being able to control and show them what classes they need for them but also allow them to have their own input and say what other classes might interest them. Through Campus resources and even Miss Vogel, I can learn more what it means to be advisor and how to help aim students to their goals and their own careers and dreams.

One must always be compassionate but also professional. Even though you might have a bad day, or something goes wrong you must always put that aside and just do your job. That is an important trade which I own cause in the English education major even if my day or last week was bad, I can't be rude or unprofessional I must be my professional self

Being a good listener is very helpful in any subject matter, but I use it here and, in this profession, as i will need to listen to my students and create the bond of not just teacher and student but a community and learn more about them. Listening is important cause just talking or not listening can hurt you lots when really taking your whole time to learn the whole thing

Working in a restaurant

I have worked in a restaurant as a host and a phone answerer for about 6 years. I use my listening skills and my passion and kindness to help the customers but to be kind and make them want to return to this place because they know that they will be met with kindness and happiness from any of the workers and I listen to them if there are ever any problems

Theatre/Drama Classes

I have been in a lot of theater classes in high school and saw the environment of those classes which was a safe and happy place which as a future educator I want to replicate that tenfold in my class. I used all my skills in these classes as this class made a community and we were able to fully trust and love one another and help each other no matter happens
