The Europeans nations, and other nations that engaged in Imperialism forced natives into being something they didn´t want to be, stripped them of their culture, while taking their land/resources from them. The European nations conquered Africa looking for resources like gold, oil, gas and iron, while forcing Christianty and other beliefs on Africans. Similar things happened to China, its trading ports had been taking underneath European rule. The Chinese tried to rebel, but were met with violence. The natives were forced to pay for their own resources. The Europeans believed that they were doing nothing wrong, that Social Darwinism was their right to take over smaller countries (nations), and the White Man´s Burden was to ¨educate¨ the natives about Christianity. They considered natives heathens that needed to be under their rule, and if anyone got it the way of that, they were killed.
