The Puritans were the type of people who wanted everything to be simple just how God would of wanted it.  The Puritans were a Theocracy meaning that they wanted the government run by church officials. They also didnt want the government to be involved with the church, basically meaning that they didnt want the church and the state to be separate.The Puritans believed that from the moment one is born you are a sinner and nothing can change that. They also believed that god has already determined if your going to hell or heaven, and yet again, nothing can change that. No good can change that.
