Dear Matt, thank you for the privilege of attending Krista's memorial online. I did not know Krista but having listened to your lovely service, I expect she had a love of birds (not only chickens). So I'm sending you a small poem which she may have liked.

Matt, we didn’t know the beautiful, kind and loving Krista you chose but have been following your journey closely over the past 3 years. Our thoughts are with you at this sad time in your life. Krista had a unique way of making everyone around her feel loved and cherished. When I first met her, I immediately felt like we'd known each other forever - it was instantaneous. And that's just the kind of person she was. I will always cherish the memories and adventures we shared, the phone calls while was I was walking my dog, and all the good times. I met Krista when she and Matt were just starting up. But watching the two of them together, I knew immediately this wasn't just a fling - what they had was something real. Theirs was the kind of love you always hope for. I'm so grateful that when I think of Krista, I can always see her beautiful smile and the twinkle in her eyes. I will never forget it. I'll see Krista in every rescue dog that crosses my path, as I too am involved with rescue organizations. I have no doubt she will constantly make appearances with everyone who loves her - in the birds chirping, in beautiful sunsets. I'll think of her every time I hear a rose cork pop, and every Halloween I'll think of the most beautiful ribbon dancer there ever was. Krista always made everyone in her life feel loved, and I will spend the rest of mine trying to pay that forward in her honor. Your enormous heart will never be forgotten, Krista. Until we meet again

Beautiful celebration of the life of the beautiful Krista. Thankyou so much for letting us join online matt. Krista lit up the room with her warmth, smile, energy and kindness and will be truly missed. I will be having a Rosè in her memory 🫶🏼
