I will think about this. It's hard to do in a new foreign language. With my grade 6's though I will use See, Think, Wonder (Veo, Pienso, Me pregunto) using Spanish paintings and they can look up new words (nouns, verbs etc) on an online dictionary, which will be great for independent vocab learning. I can't do this with grades 3 and 4 because they don't have devices.

Christina - I will embed 'what makes you say that' more often into my line of questioning. I will try using the different techniques other than just I see, think and wonder. It will be nice to put into practice and give more time to children to think over and frame their statement on their idea and encourage more questioning through 'I wonder'..

I intend to use the "I see, think, wonder" routine and the "Think,Pair and share" These will tie well with our next unit. It will trigger their thoughts and help them share in pairs and during circle time.
I also intend to incorporate "what makes you say that?" I think we often move to "Why?" this definitely seems a better way to approach it.
