I think ashbery feels very conflicted about this painting as he goes from praising Pamigianino unique style to an implied concept of not wanting to look at the painting for too long. 

In my opinion this poem did not completely help me understand the painting better as a I experienced a narrative bias. When I see the painting I might initially think of John Ashbery’s view and his thoughts instead of my own. However, I do think Ashverys views allowed me to see the painting in a much deeper way through him and his perspectives. 

Chiaroscuro 

Another difference would be Imschoot’s use of ornate patterns compared to Caravaggio’s solid dark background making his painting more decorative.

I think I have become very open with the ideas of different forms of art and it’s influence to elicit a feeling in the person viewing it, whether this is a very emotive feeling or just a simple ‘I really like this piece’. I personally think art can be shown in many different forms. Although I like art that communicates individuality, I disagree with Courbets views on individuality as I think unconsciously we take respective inspiration from the world around us to use in our own projects. In my own work I have used the world around me for inspiration by taking pictures of natural and man made creations. I also believe collaboration can be an important part of the artistic process as I enjoy working with others to develop new ideas and approaches.

Sikander has publicly conveyed the inspiration of Indo-Persian miniatures and how they have been influenced and inspired by Greek and especially Chinese art. During the Qing Dynasty, miniature landscape drawings were commonly created in China to capture a sense of essence.

Sikander’s piece, "The Scroll," is a miniature painting that physically and conceptually refers to traditional forms of miniatures as she engages with themes of imperialism, mythology, and storytelling. She uses mediums such as water colour, dry pigments, and tea on hand-prepared wasli paper specifically for painting miniatures. Cultural hybridity is visible within Sikander’s work as she creates from both Eastern and Western influences.

- inspired by artists Jon Rafman and Hattie Stewart I plan on creating an overlapping placement of these items, which would further represent their closeness physically in their everyday journeys being carried around as well as the relationship i have with each piece.

- Jon Rafman - notions of nostalgia and past memories associated with a place. I like the idea of grouping objects together as a collection. 
-Relating objects to memories, events, routines and depicting objects I’m used to seeing everyday / have become part of my usual eg. my keys and how each item has a memory to link back too. 

- Hattie Stewart - based in London, colourful vibrant illustration style where she draws over magazine covers
- Her project titled ‘doodle bombing’ - link to the idea of grouping collections close together/ overlapping - I also like colours to stand out- she uses lots of primary colours - application is very experimental however, as I plan to use oil paint Id like to focus the experimental on the arrangement and not the application of the paint.

The first photogram I wanted to create included the use of my keys. I’ve attached photos and other items to my keys that I like/ relate to a memory.

- I partially agree with this manifesto as to an extent I see the beauty in technology and its developments however I don’t think focusing on the future should result in the past being forgotten. The past can be used as the foundation for future ideas and processes which is why it doesn’t need to be discarded and should stay as a representation. 

I also disagree with the intentions to ‘demolish museums and libraries’ as I see these institutions as important documentations of all periods. - whether they have largely positive or negative connotations they should still be around for discussions and portrayal of the time periods they represent. 

Due to the time this was written I understand The Futurists views on wanting Italy’s participation in the world war to increase the pace of modernism  

- Landberg was inspired by 19th century French Intimists. 

His prints look very delicate and give a sense of movement which is something I would like to portray within my etchings
