         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Racism in America </strong><br>1. In one US survey, 15.8% of students reported experiencing race-based bullying or harassment. Research has found significant associations between racial bullying and negative mental and physical health in students. (Source 1)<br><br>2. In New York City, 88% of police stops in 2018 involved Black and Latinx people, while 10% involved white people. (Of those stops, 70% were completely innocent.) <br>(Source 1)<br><br>3. From 2013 to 2017, white patients in the US received better quality health care than about 34% of Hispanic patients, 40% of Black patients, and 40% of Native American patients.<br>(Source 1)<br><br><strong>Denial of racism in America<br></strong><br>Denial of racism in America is worse than Australia since there are reportedly more people that discriminate against anyone that is not of American decent (source 9)<br><br>Those who deny racism in America are most likely to be secretly racist themselves, this also caused more hatred that will eventually lead to violence (source 9)</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Islam</strong><br><br>Qur'an 29:46<br>"And do not dispute with the followers of the book...except those of them who act unjustly, and say: We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you, and our God and your God is One, and to Him do we submit."<br><br><strong>How racism has effected Muslims in Australia and America:  </strong><br><br>During the 1991 gulf war, there was a problem going on in Australia where people of 'Middle Eastern appearance' or middle eastern background where automatically associated with terrorism and treated unfairly. (Source 8) <br><strong><br></strong>After the September 11 attacks in the United States, incidents would often occur when Muslim women were assaulted and had their hijabs torn at public places. Muslims were also called names and violently attacked in public.  (source 8)<br><br>What Muslims are doing to prevent racism:<br><br>Muslims aim to develop racial equity through the development of learning more about different cultures. Muslim communities around the world educate are big on  diversity and believe to decrease the violence and hatred of the Islamic religion is to show that many different people with different ethnicities can be Muslims too and all are accepted in the religion.<br>(Source 14) </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Christianity<br></strong><br>God cares about people regardless of their ethnicity, nationality, and social status (Deuteronomy 10:17-19).<br><br>"God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right" (Acts 10:34-35).</div><div><br><strong>How racism has effected Christians:<br><br></strong>In todays world, the country of Chad, Christians face terrible persecution since they are a minority and face the burning of Christian villages, closing of markets and being violently attacked by Muslims<br>(Source 11)<br><br>Nigeria is a country that also has Christians who are faced with racism, since that Nigeria has sharia law, they has been disputes between the two religions and this has resulted in many deaths. Churches have been burned and more than thirty thousand Christians were displaced from their homes in the city of kano, the largest city in northern Nigeria  <br>(Source 11) <br><strong><br>What Christians are doing to prevent racism: <br></strong><br>The Christian response to racism is to lay aside the politics, which is a distraction rather than an aid, and focus more on the people. No matter what anyone's opinions are, racism is not right. Christians work together as one big family to fight against racism which is a problem worth fighting for. <br>(Source 13)</div>]]></description>

This is an increase from 1 in 8 from 2018 (Source 3)<br><br>2.  2 in 5 people living in Australia has been a target of verbal racial abuse. Being treated poorly is the most common form of racism (Source 3) <br><br>3.   Nearly half of all Australian residents from a culturally and linguistically diverse background have experienced racism at some time in their life (Source 3) <br><br><br><strong>Denial of racism in Australia<br></strong><br>Denial of racism in Australia increases racist behavior, Speaking up reduced racism by helping people who deny racism that their views are in the minority (source 3), making them less likely to engage in prejudice and stereotyping behavior.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Judaism<br><br></strong>Genesis 2.24<br>"This is why a man leaves his father and mother and bonds with his wife, and they become one flesh."<br><br><strong>How racism has effected Jews at some point in history:</strong><br><br>People of Jewish faith have experienced racism during world war 2 <br><br>Racism fueled Nazi ideology and policies. The Nazis viewed the world as being divided up into competing inferior and superior races, each struggling for survival and dominance. They believed the Jews were not a religious denomination, but a dangerous non-European “race.” Nazi racism would produce murder on an unprecedented scale.<br>(Source 7)<br><br><strong>What Jews are doing to prevent racism: (Antisemitism) </strong><br><br>To prevent racism, Jewish communities around the world have found a way to address anti-Semitism through education in schools and universities.<br>(Source 10)<br><br>The United Nations have recognized the importance of education in preventing antisemitism and have identified these rules: <br>(Source 10)<br><br>1.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Similarities between the Christian, Muslim and Jewish views on racism: </strong><br><br>Similarities that clearly show in all three religions are that they all have the same principles and values. The three religions have almost the same view on how to prevent racism, educating people and not being misleading in politics. Ultimately all religions can agree that racism is a big problem in our society and preventing it is the first step to a more peaceful society. <br><br><br><strong>Similarities between the primary and secondary sources: <br></strong><br>Similarities between my survey and the research is that the people who have responded to my survey have responses on why and how we should prevent racism in out society these are similar to what I found on the three religious perspectives. The primary and secondary sources already show that already there are a lot of people that are against racism, which means that people who are racist are becoming less. </div>]]></description>
