It was founded as “Bayraklı Middle School"  and began training in 1960-1961 school year. There was also an Evening Middle School within the building. In 1976 High School was opened within the same building and the name of the school was changed to “Bayraklı High School”.  

In 2014 - 2015 Academic Year our school was converted to Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School.

Our school was the coordinator  of the Project called “Here I am: Your Mirror” carried out with Estonia and Poland during 2009-2011 period within the scope of Commenius Life Long Learning program. Then,  participated in the Comenius Project, called “Our Voices Across Europe”, together with Poland, Hungary, Italy, Romania, Greece, Italy and Spain as  the coordinator country during 2012-2014 period. This Project was chosen as a model Project by Hungary National Agency. This year we applied for a KA2 project "The Compass of the Accountant"  related to cooperation of innovation for vocational education and training strategic partnerships and got approval. Our KA2 project is the only project accepted in İzmir, that is a great success.
