It is written in

Arabic and is considered the ultimate source of guidance and law

for Muslims12.

Here are some key points about the Quran:

1. Divine Revelation: The Quran is believed to be a direct

communication from God, providing guidance for all aspects of

life2.

2. Structure: It is divided into 114 chapters called surahs, which

vary in length and cover various topics2.

3. Themes: Major themes include the oneness of God, the

importance of worship, the existence of an afterlife, and

guidance for leading a righteous life1.

4. Language: The Quran is written in classical Arabic, and its

literary quality is highly regarded2.

5. Preservation: Muslims believe the Quran has been preserved

in its original form since its revelation1.

The Quran serves as a comprehensive guide for personal conduct,

social justice, and spiritual growth. It emphasizes moral and ethical

behavior, justice, and compassion, aiming to lead believers towards

a righteous and fulfilling life.

Is there a specific aspect of the Quran you would like to know more about?

Etiquette during studies

Here are five key etiquettes to follow during studies to enhance your

learning experience and maintain a respectful environment:

1. Respect for Teachers and Peers: Always show respect to

your teachers and fellow students. Listen attentively, avoid

interrupting, and be considerate of others’ opinions and

contributions.

2. Punctuality: Arrive on time for classes and study sessions.

Being punctual shows respect for others’ time and helps you

stay organized and focused.

3. Active Participation: Engage actively in discussions, ask

questions, and contribute to group activities. This not only

helps you learn better but also enriches the learning

experience for everyone.

4. Academic Integrity: Always do your own work and avoid

plagiarism. Honesty in your studies builds trust and ensures

that your achievements are truly your own.

5. Organized Workspace: Keep your study area clean and

organized. A tidy environment can help you concentrate better

and make your study time more productive.

In conclusion, the poster highlights that the pursuit of knowledge is not just about acquiring information, but it is a moral and spiritual responsibility. Knowledge must be sought with sincerity, respect for teachers, and efficient use of time. It is considered a trust (amanah) that should be used for the betterment of oneself and society, guided by the intention to please Allah. The overarching message is that knowledge should be pursued ethically and with humility, ensuring it leads to positive actions and contributions.

"In conclusion, the lessons drawn from the Usrah, particularly on the concepts of ihsan and good manners, remind us of the continuous journey toward self-betterment. Whether it is through acts of kindness, respect for others, or sincere dedication to Allah, it is essential that we strive to embody these values in our daily lives. Through knowledge, humility, and righteous actions, we contribute not only to our own spiritual growth but also to the well-being of society.

The acquisition of hikmah (wisdom) is a significant aspect of personal and spiritual growth in Islam. Hikmah is not merely the accumulation of knowledge but the ability to use that knowledge in the right way, at the right time, for the right purpose. Here's how one can acquire hikmah:

1. Seeking Knowledge with Sincerity

The foundation of hikmah lies in seeking knowledge (ilm). This pursuit must be driven by sincerity (ikhlas) and the intention to please Allah. Gaining both religious and worldly knowledge allows a person to navigate life with balance and wisdom.

2. Reflection and Contemplation

Wisdom often arises from deep reflection (tafakkur) on life's experiences, nature, and the signs of Allah in the Quran. Pausing to analyze situations and seeking lessons in them develops a wise perspective.

3. Acting Upon Knowledge

True hikmah is demonstrated through action. Knowing what is right is not enough—one must act upon that knowledge in a manner aligned with Islamic principles.

4. Good Companionship

Surrounding oneself with people of wisdom, including scholars and righteous individuals, helps in acquiring and nurturing hikmah. Their guidance and behavior serve as practical examples.

5. Developing Patience and Humility

Patience (sabr) is a key trait in acquiring wisdom. One must also remain humble, as arrogance blinds a person from recognizing their shortcomings or learning from others.

6. Supplicating to Allah

Ask Allah for hikmah, as He alone is the Bestower of Wisdom. As mentioned in the Quran:

"He grants wisdom to whom He wills, and whoever has been granted wisdom has certainly been given much good." (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:269)

7. Learning from Mistakes

Personal failures and challenges often serve as a school of wisdom. Reflecting on past mistakes and striving to improve equips one with valuable life lessons.

8. Observing and Listening

Wisdom is often gained through careful observation and listening to others, particularly those who have more life experience or knowledge.

In essence, hikmah is a gift from Allah that comes through consistent effort, learning, and a conscious intention to align oneself with Islamic values

The connection between ibadah (acts of worship) and the acquisition of hikmah (wisdom) is deeply rooted in the spiritual and intellectual growth nurtured by sincere devotion to Allah. Here are the reasons and sources of hikmah derived from ibadah:

Reasons Why Ibadah Cultivates Hikmah

1. Closeness to Allah

Through ibadah, such as salah, fasting, and dhikr, a person develops a deeper connection with Allah. This connection illuminates the heart and mind, enabling clarity in thought and decisions. Wisdom arises from this closeness as the person aligns their actions with divine guidance.

2. Purification of the Soul

Worship purifies the soul from arrogance, greed, and other negative traits. A purified soul becomes more receptive to wisdom, as it is free from distractions and focused on higher purposes.

3. Reflection and Self-Discipline

Acts of worship require patience, consistency, and reflection. These qualities cultivate self-discipline, which is essential for gaining hikmah. A person who can control their desires and reflect deeply is more likely to make wise choices.

4. Moral and Ethical Guidance

Ibadah instills values such as honesty, humility, and compassion. These values are the foundation of wisdom, guiding a person to act justly and thoughtfully in every situation.

---

Sources of Hikmah from Ibadah

1. Salah (Prayer)

Salah trains the believer to seek guidance directly from Allah. The repetition of Surah Al-Fatihah, where we ask for guidance to the straight path, reflects our constant pursuit of wisdom. Salah also teaches focus, humility, and gratitude, which are essential for hikmah.

2. Quran Recitation and Reflection

The Quran is a divine source of ultimate wisdom. Through recitation and contemplation (tadabbur), one gains insights into life’s purpose, human nature, and moral conduct. The Quran equips believers with the principles of hikmah to navigate challenges.

3. Fasting (Sawm)

Fasting develops self-control, patience, and empathy for others. These traits are integral to hikmah, as they enable a person to act thoughtfully and consider the well-being of others. Fasting also strengthens reliance on Allah, deepening one’s understanding of His wisdom.

4. Dhikr (Remembrance of Allah)

Dhikr keeps the heart connected to Allah, preventing it from being overwhelmed by worldly distractions. A heart that remembers Allah consistently is more likely to be guided by wisdom and make decisions that align with divine will.

5. Hajj (Pilgrimage)

Hajj is a profound act of worship that teaches humility, unity, and submission to Allah. The rituals of Hajj reflect the lessons of history and the wisdom of the Prophets, reminding us of the bigger picture of life and our ultimate accountability.

6. Charity (Zakat and Sadaqah)

Giving in charity teaches detachment from materialism, generosity, and empathy. These acts develop a wise heart that prioritizes justice and compassion over selfish interests.

---

Conclusion

Ibadah serves as both a means and a source of hikmah. By consistently engaging in acts of worship with sincerity and reflection, a believer can cultivate a heart that is illuminated by divine wisdom and a mind that makes choices aligned with Allah’s guidance.

Preparation for Salah with Khusyu’ (focus and humility) is essential to performing the prayer in a manner that brings one closer to Allah. Khusyu’ involves complete presence of the heart and mind, along with deep reverence for Allah. Here are the steps to prepare for Salah with Khusyu’:

---

1. Renew Your Intention (Niyyah)

Start by purifying your intention solely for Allah. Remind yourself that Salah is an act of worship to seek His pleasure and strengthen your relationship with Him.

Reflect on the purpose of Salah as a conversation with Allah and a means of spiritual nourishment.

---

2. Perform Wudu Properly

Approach wudu (ablution) with mindfulness. Perform each step carefully and reflect on how it cleanses not only your body but also prepares your soul for prayer.

Recite the du’a after wudu, asking Allah to make you among those who seek purity and remember Him often.

---

3. Choose a Clean and Quiet Place

Ensure the prayer area is clean, free from distractions, and conducive to focus.

Facing the Qiblah in an organized and respectful manner helps set the mood for concentration.

---

4. Disconnect from the World

Before starting Salah, take a moment to detach yourself from worldly concerns. Remind yourself that you are leaving behind the temporary world to stand before your Creator.

Silence your phone, pause tasks, and ensure nothing will divert your attention.

---

5. Understand What You’re Reciting

Learn the meanings of the verses and phrases in Salah. Understanding what you are saying strengthens your connection to Allah and allows you to pray with sincerity.

Reflect on the significance of each movement and word, such as the humility in sujood (prostration) or the submission in ruku’ (bowing).

---

6. Remember Allah Before Salah

Engage in dhikr or recite Quran briefly before Salah to calm your mind and focus on Allah.

Say Astaghfirullah to seek forgiveness and purify your heart from distractions or sins.

---

7. Dress Modestly and Neatly

Wear clean and appropriate clothing that reflects respect and reverence for Salah.

Taking care in appearance reminds you of the seriousness of standing before Allah.

---

8. Start Salah with Awareness

Begin with Takbiratul Ihram (saying Allahu Akbar) with a sense of awe and submission.

Remind yourself that you are now in the presence of Allah, and all other concerns should fade away.

---

9. Focus on the Hereafter

Imagine standing before Allah on the Day of Judgment, presenting your deeds. This mental preparation instills humility and sincerity in your prayer.

Reflect on the blessings Allah has given you and let gratitude guide your heart during Salah.

---

10. Ask Allah for Help

Before and during Salah, ask Allah to grant you Khusyu’. A simple yet heartfelt du’a is:

“Allahumma inni as’aluka khusyu’a qalbi wa hudura fikri fi salah.”

(O Allah, I ask You for humility in my heart and focus in my thoughts during Salah.)

---

Conclusion:

Achieving Khusyu’ requires conscious effort and a strong connection with Allah. By preparing both physically and spiritually, Salah becomes more than an obligation—it transforms into a profound moment of worship that brings peace and guidance
