I helped create an American identity by influencing colonials using religion. Called by the ministers who wished for a "new birth", or a return to the strong faith of the earlier days. Gave greater religous and political freedom. Created more self-faith in the colonists, and this caused the official churches power decline.

Colonists began smuggling products elsewhere without being taxed, to be able to make more money. More population caused the colonies to grow, and make their own manufactured goods.
