         <description><![CDATA[<div>-Visible learning and teaching occurs when:<br>1. learning is the explicit and&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;transparent goal<br>2. learning is appropriately challenging<br>3. when the teacher and student seek to agree whether and to what degree the goal was attained<br>4. deliberate practice (aiming toward the goal)<br>5. feedback is given<br>6. participation in the learning&nbsp;<br><br>-A teacher's view of his/her role is vital (Ask: What effect do I have on student learning?)<br><br>-Teachers are evaluators of themselves and their effect on student learning.&nbsp;<br><br>-Teaching requires deliberate interventions to ensure that there is a change cognitively.<br>1. knowing when a student is successful in accomplishing a task<br>2. understand students' prior knowledge<br>3. understanding content<br>4. Knows different teaching strategies<br>5. Can provide direction and redirection (in teaching content for understanding)&nbsp;<br><br>-A safe environment that welcomes error is essential in the success of students learning.</div>]]></description>
